[h=1]Security Cabinet officially accepts Egyptian-brokered ceasefire agreement[/h]
The Security Cabinet officially agreed to an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire set to begin immediately at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Hamas's armed wing rejected the Egyptian ceasefire proposal Monday evening as "surrender and capitulation" and vowed to continue fighting.

[h=1]Hamas knows how to recognize a good deal, transportation minister says[/h]Transportation Minister Israel Katz said he opposed the ceasefire on Tuesday morning and that under the current circumstance, "we could have have achieved much more."

He said that rocket threats from Gaza have not been removed and that the Hamas leadership has not been destroyed, adding "ending the battle this way will bring heavy pressure upon Israel."

"They're saying Hamas' military wing rejects the proposal? Nonsense! They can recognize a good deal when they see one," he concluded.

It's all fun and games until Iran gets nukes.

Israel: We're going into Gaza to stop these Hamas rocket attacks!

Iran: Oh no you're not!

What will Israel do then?

One of the Hamas Goebbels Guys. You can't reason with these people. His other interview on al jazeera (no vid available yet) is even worse. Nazi Goebbels used a technique of propaganda called "Turnspeak." You can't reason with these people. You have to kill them. Of course this murderer of both Israelis and Palestinians is hiding in Beirut:

President Barack Obama said he was encouraged by Egypt's proposal for a ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinians and sided with Israel against what he called "inexcusable attacks."

Does this now mean he’s discouraged?

And don’t believe a word about him siding with Israel.

Rep. Trent Franks (R., Ariz.) took to the floor of the House of Representatives Monday to hammer President Obama for his "unprecedented cowardice and betrayal" of Israel.

In his scathing take-down of the administration's handling of the Middle East, he described Obama’s support of Palestine as a “flushed and breathless rush to embrace terrorists launching rockets at Israeli children.”

Mr. Speaker, last month Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas openly united with the evil terrorist group Hamas, and at this very moment they are raining down rockets upon the innocent citizens of Israel. Half of all Israelis have sought cover in bomb shelters across their tiny country. And the Obama administration has had the reprehensible gall to praise Abbas as someone who is “committed to nonviolence and cooperation with Israel”, and to further proclaim in an Israeli newspaper that, quote, “finally peace is possible.” Mr. Speaker, I thought nothing this president could ever say or do would surprise me any more, but this flushed and breathless rush to embrace terrorists launching rockets at Israeli children is an unprecedented act of cowardice and betrayal. America’s fleet should this minute be off the coast of Israel, and the world, including Abbas, Hamas, and Hezbollah, should know that America’s arsenal of freedom stands ready to defend our most precious ally on earth.

Perhaps in response to the stinging rebuke, Obama used the White House Iftar dinner, celebrating the Muslim Ramadan holy month, to proclaim that it is "very clear that Israel has the right to defend itself." Duh! You think?

At the state dinner attended by many high-profile Muslim dignitaries, Obama also said, “Even as we celebrate all that we have in common, (What would that be?) we know that in too many corners of the world we see violence and terror of those who would destroy rather than build. These are particularly difficult times in the Middle East.”

There you go.

The goal of Hamas is the destruction of Israel in stages.

They keep poking the hornet's nest, then cry innocent when they get stung.

By uniting with terrorists, 'Palestinians' keep voting for their own destruction.

There are no "innocent civilians" in this conflict.

[h=2]According to assessments in Israel, Mashaal was the voice that ensured that Hamas continues to fire rockets at Israeli cities instead of accept the cease-fire agreement.[/h]Hamas’s political bureau chief, Khaled Mashaal, has ordered his organization in Gaza to reject Israel’s truce offer, according to the latest evaluations in the Israeli defense establishment.
Mashaal, who is comfortably based in Qatar, far from the fighting, as well as two Hamas leaders in Gaza – Muhammad Deif, head of Izzadin Kassam, Hamas’s military wing, and Ismail Haniyeh, who heads Hamas’s political wing – are the triangle of decision-makers who plot the organization’s next moves.

[h=1]#BBCtrending: Hamas 'the enemy' says Egyptian hashtag[/h]What's popular and why
_76281645_hamasaphi022193340.jpg
Ismail Haniya led the former Hamas government in Gaza

A highly-charged discussion is taking place on social media in the Arab world - especially in Egypt - on the hashtag "The Enemy's Name is Hamas".
Coming several days into a surge in fighting between Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza, which is dominated by Hamas, there's no doubt that this hashtag is provocative.
العدو_اسمه_حماس - which translates as "The Enemy's Name is Hamas" - has been used sporadically over the past 10 months, but has spiked over the past week, with more than 5,000 tweets, and a heated discussion on Facebook. Some slam Hamas as "terrorists". Others express shock at the tenor of the discussion.
The hashtag has been used most widely in Egypt, and gathered pace after rocket attacks in the Sinai peninsula at the weekend in which seven Egyptian civilians and a soldier were killed. Ansar Beit al-Maqdis - a jihadist group which is linked to al-Qaeda - is suspected of being behind the attack.
Many were clearly angered. Israelis are "warning people in Gaza before they hit them, while we are being killed in our country and our homes,"tweeted Asia Omar a blogger who describes herself as someone who "loves the army and hates the Muslim Brotherhood". Others chimed in in a similar vein.
The Egyptian authorities launched a crackdown on the Brotherhood after the military overthrow of President Mohammed Morsi a year ago. Since then, public opinion in Egypt has hardened against the Islamist movement. Attitudes towards Hamas - an offshoot of the Brotherhood - have also become more negative inside Egypt. The government in Cairo considers the group a threat, accusing it of supporting militants in the Sinai and of being involved in a terrorist plot with Morsi and Hezbollah. Hamas has vigorously denied both allegations.
But some in the Arab world have expressed shock at the level of condemnation of Hamas and have been equally firm in their response. "I am really speechless," tweeted Palestinian activist and writer Sabir Alian. "When I saw this hashtag... I logged on passionately to respond, thinking that the Zionists are the ones who created it, but I am shocked to find out that Egyptians have done it instead!"
Many in Egypt have also condemned the hashtag, and one Saudi Twitter user tweeted: "The enemy is the one who created this hashtag - the one who stands with the Jew against the Muslim."

Yep I said before Egypt wants Hamas destroyed and the ruling army is with the Israelis. Overwhelmingly though the uneducated populace supports the Gazans and wants a big pile of dead Jews.

Now a word about John Kerry (SMH). First a quick congrats to John on his hail mary in Afg. getting two guys who both think they were elected president to agree on something or other. But John Fucked up again in the I/P conflict, and it's ongoing and ridiculous. First of all John wants a cease fire which of course Israel has to agree to whether they want it or not. Now if John were smart I would say maybe this is a brilliant move to create a wedge b/w Hamas and Egypt and embarrass Hamas but we all know John, "reporting for duty" just isn't that smart. And if Americans think, Romney ain't like us, well let me introduce you to John.....

Anyway, John decided to ask Egypt to broker a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas. Why is this bad? Well first of all it's negotiating with terrorists. Second of all let Egypt get its own newly rebuilt house in order. And maybe most importantly, Egypt is no longer run by Mubarak and no longer run by Hamas' cousins the Muslim Brohood, but by the army hamas hates that overthrew them and put Morsi in prison. What an easy way to get Hamas to say no. Kerry is a nitwit. So now the UN is taking the cease-fire ball and running with it. As the dummy once said to Anthony Hopkins in the movie Magic, "Fan-Fucking-Tastic!

London’s pro-Palestine rally was a disgusting anti-Semitic spectacle

Thousands of anti-Semites have today succeeded in bringing central London to an almost total standstill.
They marched though the centre of the city before congregating to scream outside the Israeli Embassy in Kensington. It was interesting to watch this rather non-diverse crowd pass. Most of the women seem to be wearing headscarves or the burka, while their men-folk were naturally more appropriately dressed for a sweltering summer day.
But what a picture. These are the people who stayed at home throughout the Syrian civil war, stayed at home when ISIS rampaged across Iraq, stayed at home when Boko Haram and Al-Shabaab carried out their atrocities across central Africa and showed no concern whatsoever when the Muslim Brotherhood was running Egypt into the ground. Yet they pretend to care about Muslims.
And here they all are, coming out to scream because Israel is carrying out the most specific and targeted campaign in the history of warfare in order to stop Hamas – a group dedicated to the annihilation of all Jews – from firing thousands of rockets into the Jewish homeland.

I suppose some of the people in London today might still try to pretend that they don’t hate Jews. Perhaps some of them would not even do what their co-religionists in France did last week when – intent on violence – they blockaded worshippers inside a Synagogue. But there is only one explanation for their horrible beliefs and actions.
The truest expression of their views was given voice a few years ago by the popular al-Jazeera star and leading cleric Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi when he said:
‘Throughout history, Allah has imposed upon the [Jews] people who would punish them for their corruption. The last punishment was carried out by Hitler. By means of all the things he did to them – even though they exaggerated this issue – he managed to put them in their place. This was divine punishment for them. Allah willing, the next time will be at the hands of the believers.’

Sheikh Qaradawi himself is no longer lauded by a Mayor of London, but his disciples flooded the city’s streets today. What a disgusting sight to see in our capital.

[h=1]The Greatest Possible Problem for Europe[/h] by Douglas Murray
July 19, 2014 at 5:00 am

http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/4404/the-greatest-possible-problem-for-europe

There are now at least twice as many young British Muslims who have gone to Syria to fight alongside ISIS and other such groups than there are fighting for Queen and country here in the British armed forces.

The Israel-haters are no real problem for Israel, but they are the greatest possible problem for Europe.
The barricades are up again outside the Israeli Embassy in London, as they are across many capitals of Europe. Given that even more rockets than "normal" have been raining down on Israel in recent days, any sane country would need further barricades outside the Israeli embassy in order to contain yet another demonstration of support for Israel. But no, another day in London and another Palestinian-ist and Socialist Worker party protest is going on against the Israeli state.

The protestors are not, of course, demonstrating because they especially care about the lives of the people of Gaza. If they cared about the lives of Palestinians -- or the people of the region in general -- they would have spent night after night outside the Syrian, Iraqi, Jordanian, Turkish, Egyptian and Saudi Arabian embassies, among others. They would be sore from sleeping outside Belgravia townhouses. But they are not. They are fresh and raring for the fight.

I have watched them a bit in recent days, watched the contorted hatred on their faces as they scream at the embassy and then watched their friendly sociability as the headscarfed women are driven away by their menfolk, often with their children in tow -- a family day outing in "diverse" modern London. Behind their smiles and the increasingly competent public relations that the pro-Hamas faction is managing in Britain, it is possible for some people to forget that what brings these people out is one simple thing: a hatred of the Jewish state and a desire to see it annihilated by the terrorists of Hamas or anyone else at hand.

There are those who will say this is a not-sufficiently-nuanced observation, that the motives of those protesting Israeli action are motivated by something other than a great hatred of Jews and the Jewish state. But if this were true, why would their posters say, "Stop the Holocaust in Gaza?" There is no "Holocaust" in Gaza. Anybody can see there is no similarity between the organized and systematic murder of 6 million Jews by the Nazis and the precision targeting of some Hamas rocket sites, some of which are deliberately hidden under hospitals, in the Gaza Strip. Why do the protestors say "Holocaust" then? They know that this way they will hurt Jews as deeply as possible. By using the term "Holocaust" for this, they will either give the impression that the Holocaust was a small and minimal thing in the history of war -- such as the confrontation between Hamas and Israel currently is -- or else that the Israelis are, in their view, currently carrying out precisely the same barbarism which made the creation of the state of Israel such an added necessity for Jews in the 1940s, and that by supposedly becoming the Nazis they are meant to abhor, the Jews have forfeited any right to be regarded as part of acceptable humankind.

Either way, these protestors clearly mean to harm, not to help. But their presence -- and the growing manner in which they are trying to wake up a far-away country to the actions of Israel, and condemn them as they would condemn Nazism, displays a trend worth dwelling on.

A protest in London against Israeli military actions in Gaza, in 2009. (Image source: STML/Flickr)
Israel has been through an exchange like this with Gaza every couple of years since Condoleeza Rice had the brilliant idea of pushing for elections in Gaza and allowing Hamas to finish with guns what they had failed to achieve at the ballot box. In the wider world's response -- as well as the facts in the ground in Israel -- certain trends can now be spotted. One is that, since the 2006 war in Lebanon, protests against Israel in cities such as London have increased in number and vitriol year on year. This is not because the confrontations between Israel and her enemies during this period are getting larger. On the contrary, no exchange since 2006 has been anything in size like the war which had to be engaged in then. Each time, however, despite the actual conflict diminishing, the protests in London and other capitals in Europe have grown.

So how can one account for this? One reason, simply put, is that you cannot have a country in which the Muslim population doubles each decade (as in Britain) and radical Islamist groups teach young Muslims to make the Israel-Palestine issue their prime concern, and expect the result to have no impact. The young men and women who pack their banners back in the car after a good day's shouting at the Israeli embassy may or may not have British citizenship, yet it is hard to say that they are British in any recognizable sense of the term. If they were, they might think that a simple sense of fair play, among other things, ought to dictate that a country being bombarded with missiles on a daily basis should, every now and then, have the right to respond by hitting the sites from which those missiles are fired as well as at the people who order the launchers to let loose.

Israel, one can probably say with some confidence, can very well look after itself. Like everyone else who has spent time in the country, and admires and even loves it, I worry for it, but I can think of no nation on earth that is better equipped or better motivated to look after itself and its people. So when I see these young protestors in London, protesting against Israel, I do not worry for the country they are shouting against. They cannot touch her. But I worry for my country -- Britain.

It is a country that is finding it so difficult to integrate the millions of Muslims who have come here that (in a figure that ought to be better known) there are now at least twice as many young British Muslims who have gone to Syria to fight alongside ISIS and other such groups, than there are Muslims fighting for Queen and country here in the British armed forces.

By any standards, this is a symptom of a disastrous immigration and integration problem. The people shouting outside the Israeli embassy -- the knackered and foolish old minority of Trots aside -- can do Israel no harm. But they can do great harm to the country they are in. Europe's Israel-haters are no real problem for Israel, but they are the greatest possible problem for Europe.
