Looks like the yardage at halftime is 207 for FAU and 178 for CMU. Guess that makes this a no play?

2H bet

Florida Atlantic +5 (Sportsbook.com)

FAU has the yardage edge by about 30 yards. While this isn't significant, there are two side things that I like about FAU.

First, dogs with the yardage edge at halftime are 21-4 (84%).

Second, they fit the criteria for both teams with a solid offense. Both teams have 178+ yards in the first half, and the team with the yardage edge is 14-3.

Owls 207 to 177.

+5.5 then?

I've also noticed something else looking at the stats. You really want to find games where both teams are moving the ball. When both teams are above 188 yards, the team with the yardage edge covers in the 2nd half 92% of the time (12-1)!

Sounds like both teams move the ball... and the dog is still in the game...

letsgohoosiers, took your numbers and crunched them a step further:

yardage that was 50 yards or less had a record of 3-7-1 (might be a good idea to layoff)

50-250 yard difference 16-4 record

250+ 2-2 record (another group worth giving more test time)

75-200 yards 11-1 (Impressive record!!!!)

Thanks for sharing and helping out - Happy Holidays!!

BD

nice breakdown! just wish everyone in this World worked together like the guys on this forum do to help their fellow gambler.

I have been playing college football 2H's pretty successfully using something a bit more in depth.

Total yards is a solid, solid base to start out. You will win money following letsgohoosiers for sure over the course of the season.

I will tell you this. It does not work in the NFL, only in college.

Also, using this system, you should probably narrow the games down to the ones where the closing number is in the single digits. (90% of double digit favorites will have the yardage edge at half)

Also narrow to games that are non-blowouts at half. (All games where the margin is 14 or less)

Also, it will work better in non-conference games than conference games. (Which will be good for bowl season)

I also go in depth with 1st downs, TOP, YPP, total plays, turnovers, fluke points, turnover on downs in the red zone, punts, return yards and more, but sticking with the total yardage in the 1H is the perfect place to start for a very solid base.

Also knowing what the line should be is just as important. And having an acct at the Greek is a must. (1st to put up 2H numbers 95% of the time)

Thanks for the info clutch!

I can't find ways to deposit money into The Greek! But you're right, they are always the first to put up the numbers from the sites I've seen. They had +4.5 and kept it consistent.

Sounds like a great system you have, should start posting picks here at the RX!

TOUCHDOWN FAU! This one is in the bag boys. 24-13.

Yep, we're definitely winning this one.

Thanks a lot to all the guys who have contributed in this thread. I had no idea something as straight forward as yardage in the first half would help win second half bets consistently. Can't wait to keep using this and making money this bowl season!
