Matt

I always read this guys predictions and here's what he says...

Cincy coach Marvin Lewis (Ravens' defensive chief in 1996-01) faces former team for first time. Bengals have lost nine of past 10 in series, but like Lewis' home 'dogs in minor upset here -- breaking our mantra to never pick 'Gals -- especially if Corey Dillon is not healthy. 'Nati is coming off a bye, and Lewis should know more than most how to attack Balt's defense.
• Cote says: Bengals, 23-20.
• Line: Ravens by 2.
• Stars: * ½
• Records: Ravens 3-2; Bengals 1-4.
• Ravens injuries: WR Ron Johnson (knee) is out; G Edwin Mulitalo (ankle) and G-C Casey Rabach (hip) are questionable.
• Bengals injuries: RB Corey Dillon (groin), WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh (hamstring) and LB Riall Johnson (calf) are questionable

Matt,

Yes I am a Ravens fan, but I bet on/against them near every week depending on the matchup. This year I'm 4-0 betting games that include the Ravens.
Bet on Pitts- won
Bet on Ravens over Clev- won
Bet on Ravens over SD- won
Bet on KC over Ravens- won
Laid off last Arizona game last week.

This week I am again taking the Ravens for a $2 bet.

Good luck to you.

both of these teams are all defense and no offense, be smart and take the UNDER.

90% chance this hits

Adding

Chargers +5 6 units $300

I'm not going to post my reasoning, more gut than anything I guess, right now I am highly pissed at myself for not playing Purdue this week or last week for that matter. I touted them in the college football forum as having a great shot at natl championship then they fell flat first game. Looks like they are back on track. I told my roommate all week no way Wisconsin beats them, then I saw something about homecoming at Wisconsin and I talked myself right out of it. I suck. Oh well later

Well Matt, atleast I agree with the Chargers pick. I had a little on Purdue today, glad they pulled it out. They are talented, but with that remaining schedule they have a couple losses coming at Michigan and maybe OSU.

Yeah, they do have a tough schedule. I was hoping Ohio St would be unbeaten when they played Purdue, I was going to go big on Purdue as long as they were getting 3.5 points, but Ohio St blew that, Purdue will still be dogs though I am sure unless they get by Michigan.

Wont be too sick Dwax, a couple years past that stage. It is sad actually that these plays really don't affect me anymore, win or loss its all the same. These arent entertainment for me, investments, like my poker and stocks.

I think Matt being a Bengals fan gives him a better view than the average Joe. He's not betting with his heart. He just knows this teams capabilities. Also, as far as trends go, you know what you can do with those trends. Different Coach, different attitude, different outcome. Bengals by 6.

Look vegas is begging you to bet the ravens. If they really thought that baltimore had a chance the line would be around 4 to 7.Anyone wonder why faiders d is so bad..... the loss of tory james is key. He has made the bengals so much better. This made opp. qb's throw at burris instead of thehack uc player.
Also warrick is more active in the lewis offense + the bungles discovered the tight end again. You guys may give this guy grief but i think he is right on the money. While jamal lewis may have a good game; this is 1 of the better d's he'll play. he's played kc sd clev. no stellar run defenses there.(chiefs win with o and spec teams not d). Take the bengals and go to the bank

Chico, while your right that the Bengals could very well win this game (hell the Bears could beat the Seahawks to) you need to check up on your numbers bud. The Bengals are allowing 121 yards per game rushing total but they allow 160 at home per game. They do however have a great pass defense this season, I concede that. I am just betting against the Bengals here due to these trends:

-Cincinnati are 7-14-0 ATS in their last 21 games
-Cincinnati are 1-9-0 ATS in their last 10 home games
-Cincinnati are 3-7-0 ATS in their last 10 home games against Baltimore
-Cincinnati are 1-6-0 ATS in their last 7 games against Baltimore

Those are some juicy numbers if I ever saw any. Good luck though, you may win. Like I've said before, this is more luck then skill.

Look the 2 coaches b4 lewis were atrocious. After every win(few and far between) they were given the day off. lewis laughed about this and practiced them harder. I believe in trends but this is a totally different coach. He pays more attentiont o detail. I very important fact. Before this coach; every on was homegrown. There is only 1 coach with any prior connection with the bengals rb coach jim anderson. everyone else was let go. the o cord. is a pitt/sea guy. this is totally diff. Used to be the players ran the team. This coach has cut starters from last year. just beware. i think you can find better games to bet.eg san diego

Chico, youre right about Tory James. If I had to name an MVP so far this season, I Have to give it to James no doubt. This guy was exceeeded all my expectations and has got Burris to play better as a cause of his play. Hopefully Weathersby will get healthy and show Lewis something special so we dont have to get a CB in Free agency next year.
