Theyre not overated dude stop it..noone oicked them win division even so how can the be overated.. They have some really dead bats man .. About 4 of em.. So they need to max out the scoring opportunities top of the order..bspreading em out and insering duds in between their best hitters is a horrble way to go about it.

There are some nic pieces every team wish they had.. Like almost every team they really could use a better 2 to add depth and stretch the rotation out.. Another arm in pen perhaps.. Tho wolters is a helluva fireman. I wish they had some better pieces in the minors to make a trade for a starter or another bat preferable a lefty bat

I usually stick up for Hurdle but I agree...it def was not the right move taking Cole out of the game the other day. It easy to say now, but it just wasnt the right move...especially with 2 outs

Right now the Pirates are one of the worst teams in baseball.i watched that game last night and it was pathetic, the fielding was horrible, the hitting is still a nightmare with runners in scoring position, and the pitching with all these walks is horrible. The bullpen is a huge issue to as its not even close to being like last season,......i think im just going to sell my tickets for the Cubs game and just do the city of Pittsburgh up

key..i cashed a nice ticket on san diego last night.. pomerantz is not the scrub you might think he is..i was already on pomerantz expecting a weak lineup from HUD..
then when i actually saw what he rolled out there last night, i placed bets with both hands.. mercer leadoff..freeze i think 3 , harrison that is awful way up in the lineup..i didn't even need to watch it.. they have nice pieces , buds docking around with the lineup has cost this team valuable wins as this will be a tight WC race.. but i am done in this thread until freeze is removed from the 3 .. and he is compounding it further.. pirates need another solid lefty bat and they don't have the pieces in minors to go get it.. and they need another SP so if they had a piece they would have to go after that first.. still a fun team to root for , in a gorgeous park, with cool and great fans.

Heading into this Series the Pirates were 58-17 last 75 vs NL East & West. And SD had scored 0-3 Runs in 29 of their last 40 Home games.

Both trends broke twice in a row and the Series is headed for a sweep in the wrong direction.

Pirates have a long history of having trouble with SAN DIEGO,also another they have always had trouble with is the BREWERS

i see them putting up some runs tonight in Colorado:

They are heading into this four-game set having batted .311 with 47 runs in their last seven contests.

didn't see that game coming from Locke last night, especially in the altitude. i think that makes it 8-1 L9 vs Rockies
