Vintage Cutch: McCutchen was at his best, flashing his former MVP form throughout the night. McCutchen pulled an RBI single to left field in the first, then stole second base, only his fifth steal of the season. He homered to right field, showing the kind of opposite-field power that typically defines his hot streaks. He also made a highlight-reel play in center, racing back and tumbling down after snagging a Yasmani Grandalline drive in the second inning.

could he be finally turning it around,.....it would be nice going down the stretch these last 2 months:toast:

ijust can't believe the luck the pirates have on the dodgers,or maybe its not luck and just that they matchup better with them than other teams.Chad Kuel is definately a good pitcher and if the pirates make the postseason he is going to be a big part of it,..anyway the Bucs roll again and just hope they keep playing this way the final 2 months,,,,,,,,,,on to San Fran for 4

For the first time in several days, the Pirates are in a better spot then their opponent. Pittsburgh (68-69) can get back to .500 with a strong weekend and still has a shot at the postseason, trailing St. Louis -- which holds the second wild-card spot -- by 4 1/2 games.

Keyman started a thread last year saying IU was overrated after a really tough loss to a good team. It was an unbelievably ignorant comment considering we werent even ranked at the time. We then went on to win the big ten, knock UK out of the tourney, and make a sweet 16 run
