yesterday was one of those small card day's i always talk about when every game goes the same way on the o/u. but they were all late games so no way to see anything early

... in general i would say it's because of fast food , video games , and lack of parenting.
In this specific case i'm guessing that your grand kids go to an affluent school with a bunch of over priviledged out of shape spoiled kids.
You should take the credit for their atheletic prowess , maybe it's in the genes ... lol
btw , back in the early 70's i won a presidential fitness award and at that time they said it was going to about 12% nationaly so things are going down hill .... fast food and lazyness.

i was not a great parent myself as never home as spend most of the time traveling, so it was up to my wife to handle that part. but i always rewarded achievements (mostly with money) and stressed winning. prob more than i should have. but that's all i knew
One more thing and then i'll get to work , it used to be that if a child misbehaved they got a spanking , nowadays they get ritalin or other drugs.
I'm sure there are cases especially with adds and autism where drugs are benefiicial but in about 90% of the cases it's just an easy way out for the doctors and the parents ... but nowdays you cant whip your children , hence no discipline.

i never spared the rod myself, but not near as bad as my father was. he had this large barber straight razer strap that would leave red marks on my brothers and my bare asses if we didnt listen. guess him and i would be in the slammer for that shit now. but i sure know that we would watch out step and not get out of line (as least not try to get caught)
