Zeeman, you're great - could the series have been different - perhaps - but your initial post says the Suns "deserve" to be in the finals - when they did nothing to deserve being in the finals - did they get a bad deal - of course - and do you think the Spurs just might have proven to everyone who the best team in the league is by absolutely demolishing all their other opponents? they've lost a total of 4 games - many aren't even watching the finals because San Antonio is simply too good for the other team - they know Cleveland could never win the series - I would imagine the Suns would beat the Cavs too but who knows.

Totally makes sense. Amare was the only Sun's started that didn't exhaust himself in Game 5. Seymour, I think your starting to understand how much game 5 meant. Different story if Amare scored 38 in game 5, but he never had the fckn chance. Keep educating yourself.

Paid2play,

I never said who the NBA wanted in the finals. I'm trying to say that NBA Management punished Phoenix & rewarded San Antonio for something San Antonio did. It's a stupid rule, and Spurs benefitted greatly. The decision was based on a stupid rule, not on who the nba wanted in the finals. If a bench player from phoenix slams parker into the scorer's table, and Duncan Jump off the bench to support his fallen player I'm sure he would have been suspended too. It's just a very stupid rule.

You Think!

I imagine the Suns would beat San Antonio without the handicap, but who knows.

Fair enough, not a great rule. But the fact remains, nothing was garrenteed that the suns would have won game 5. Spurs have dominated the suns over the years and have a great winning % in PHX. The Spurs would have gotten the better of the suns in the long run. When a team does not play defense, they can only go so far in the playoffs. The end of the road was in SA. Phx will have a very tough time winning anything the next several years with a coach that doesnt see the importance of getting players that play defense.

So do you still think the Suns "deserve" to be in the finals or do you now think the Suns just got a bad deal (which everyone agrees upon)? And are you telling me that after watching remaining rounds of the playoffs that the Spurs aren't the clear cut best team in the league? I don't need life stories - yes and no answers will suffice.

Yes I believe Suns win series without handicap. I also know after game four with the series tied 2-2, and Sun's having homecourt advantage, vegas would have had the Suns at least a 30 cent favoriteto win series. Game 5 opening line was Sun's - 3, after suspensions line move to Spurs -2. That line movement correlants to the significant handicap place on Phoenix.

NET Exec. know how to piss money down the drain. Aside from everyone on the forum, the avg. thinks they know and follow sports, but don't give 2 shits about it. I love football and love to play hoops, but because I don't bet on the NBA, I could give 2 shits about the NBA. Even when betting on it I have a hard time watching this piece of shit product!

Seymour,

Who did Cleveland beat anyway. The mighty Detroit Pistons, whose best defensive player is on the Bulls. Lebron James singlehandily beat detroit in the 2nd to last game. How good can a team be when they get beat by one player. What did Lebron Score like the last 25-30 points of that game for Cleveland. So San Antonio beating up on Cleveland, and also Utah doesn't mean their unbeatable.

San Antonio should be contracted from the league for sheer boredom alone. And Ginobili and Bowen expelled for being dirty and acting better than Erica Martin from All My Children!

Is that her name "Erica Martin" I thought it was Erica Kane? Don't tell me she's married to Tad.

Your right. My bad. Mona Kane's daughter!:dancefool :dancefool :dancefool Haven't watched that show in 25 years.......but still remember she was engaged to Phillip Brent but he was killed in VietNam, or so we thought and went off and married Jeff Martin before Phillip was found alive, unharmed floating down a Vietnamese river. Of course that was before she married Nick.................which leads me to conclude.................70's soap operas are more exciting than San Antonio in ANY NBA Final.
