I know, i bet Philly yesterday and evened it out with Texas. I'm laying off them today and if they lose i'll bet them tomorrow. From now on i'll watch MJ's first game and if they lose i'll bet the run line on the 2nd day and double it on the last day. It's his same chase system but i think this is a safer way to play it.

it's not necessarily a safer way to play it....his plays seem to be based on the better pitchers throwing the first two games (I know there is more to it, but seems to be a trend)....he hits a high percentage in the first game, which you will be missing, so when he is forced to go to a 2nd game, you have a chance, but if that one misses, you won't have the same value in the 3rd game....good luck if you go at it that way, but I don't think it's the smart way to do it

I think the 3rd game has the best value because of the good ol 'sweep system'. I find in baseball the home team usually wins the first game, but if they don't they try harder the next game and if they lose that they try really hard to avoid the sweep at home. I know it may sound silly but if you check back two months you'll understand what i mean. Today (Sunday) i'm betting Colo, Det, Tampa, and Minn. All home teams that lost Saturday. I'm not saying i'm going to win but i feel these teams will try a little harder. Baseball's a funny game it's like, you beat me today but i'll win tomorrow.

You have a point there, but "trying harder to avoid the sweep" is an intangible variable that's hard to fit in with people using a system I would think. I agree that teams do try harder when they're trying to avoid a sweep, esp at home.. but hard to handicap as an advantage.

.... Still what a bad beat today.. 2 days in a row, winning by one.. lol

Anyone have the #'s on game 3 of the series that MJ has lost games 1 and 2 on.

I know it's only a 2 game chase, but someone has said that the 3rd game does real well. Phils currently -120 on the RL at bodog.

Pittsburgh Pirates
Virgil Vasquez (R)

Philadelphia Phillies
J.A. Happ (L)

-1½ (-120)

-220

Philly lost both wagers in the chase. -3.30 units. I used the Friday night line because that is when I try to post them for the next day.

Overall series 23-4 +19.56 units (Not bad for 3 weeks work)

I like these a lot...I'm thinking of scrapping the computer baseball picks and just going with these.

I'm looking for a way to post them to the blog for automatic mailing...I think I can figure that out too...for the second half of the season.

Let's hope this success continues...maybe we got a little lucky on this last run...but I think we might have something here.

I dont think you should scrap the Computer Baseball picks. Even with a few picks you were still hitting over 60%, i dont think you should get rid of a valuable system like that. But it's your decision. You should definitley keep this one and use the comp picks next to it. Nice first half

I agree with ROC18. It has been a good system just not very many picks. I just raised my $$ per bet. Thanks for your hard work.

I will keep posting here...it's more fun to share in the fun and disappointments with everyone.

I didn't mean to imply different.

Some people depend on the blog however and I will try to accommodate them.

There is a small village in Poland for instance that has an MJ parade for each new season of picks that they receive over one internet connection...I can't let them down. :):)
