Have to agree completely. A pitcher can only do so much in his one start every 5 days ask AARON HARANG 9-2 on the REDS. And a closer has to have games to close to be needed.
ICHIRO and VLAD are right there. I remember the Angels having a bad streak TY when VLAD was out.

This question needs a little context. Are you drafting to win this year? Or in five years? Or as many times as possible in the next ten years? The answer depends on the question.
I am a firm believer in a great leadoff hitter that will give you a high on base percentage along with always working the pitching count. So I'd start with Ichiro or Jose Reyes.
Hard decision. Love Ichiro and having him in CF makes him more valuable and even though he is better now then Grady Sizemore the key is building for the future and in 5 years Grady will be ahead of him and will win a MVP someday. JMHO.
