Loc=I received my adaptor today and the connection of my hard drive and adaptor don't fit.

Help please. Sending my laptop for repair on Monday.

I'm more then 100 % sure that the following is your problem.

Laptop hard drives are different then a desktop hard drives, as you probably noticed by thr size, etc.

In the rear of your laptop hard drive (where the pins are), there is a small connector. This connector has to be removed. This is done by pulling on it. DON'T MISPLACE IT AS YOU WILL NEED IT AGAIN. Once you have removed the small connector, you will see the pins to connect your adaptor that you purchased.

cheater=thanks. I purchassed it yesterday and received it today.

Loc=You are the man. It was hard to pull out the connector, but I did it.

As you said, I seen the pins and the adaptor fit. Thank you.

Happy to hear that you've completed your mission. In reference to my computer back ground. All I can say is, many, many hours reading books and in class. Always think what tomorrow might bring and go for it.
