Dude I take it, based on previous posts, that you're in your 50's? And if you're playing full court for 2 HOURS WITH 20 YEAR OLDS,
then you're not old man!! God bless! Most guy's in their 50's can only dream of playing for 2 hours with 20 year olds!

Thank you sir. I'm 56, but in excellent shape, I can still run a 6 minute mile. I can't keep up with the quickness of these youngsters, but stamina-wise I can. Reffing this season helped, as I dropped 10 lbs from all the running.

When I played ball it was a blood sport , alot like those old BULLS/PISTONS or CELTICS/LAKERS matchups back in the day.... it could get rough on those playground or housing project courts

Ditto but didn't excel in BBall. I was a rebounder, blocker, defender and body banger but couldn't hit a jump shot or dribble too well. And the brothers were too good.

LOL, I've usually been lean almost my entire life with episodes of fatness just couldn't play that sport. If you can't shoot the 10foot + shot and dribble the basics fughedaboutit!

The older i get the more problems arise,...The last 3 years have been hell with medical issues.Just this past year i have had a few things pop up that set me back.Last year i was walking 4 to 5 miles a day early in the morning, and everything was going great, but one day while walking, all of a sudden it felt like a butchers knife was stuck in my calf, and that was it for a long time, cause there is nothing you can do for a torn calf muscle except rest, then my knee started bothering me,then i got trigger lock finger which still needs to be operated on,and just recently i had surgery for a hernia which i am still rehabbing at this time,so for over a year i was unable to do any exercise and that sucks

Once you improve and get back on the horse don't forget to stretch even for a long walk.

In high school we had some really good athletes and a school of almost 4,000 students. The year after I graduated we won the state in football and took third in basketball. My senior year in high school I was a 20/20 guy on the basketball team.

I played the last 20 seconds if we were up by 20 or down by 20.
