Might have something to do with USC being the best team every year since 2002.

offer not valid in 2005

Kid is rediculous! Funny thing too, he was just a 3 star recruit and had no hype coming in as a freshman. Goes to show you how much recruiting rankings actually mean.

How about Juice throwing 5 td's and for over 450 yds?!?! I had no idea he improved that much. Mizzou has a good defense too. I will be very interested to see how these teams progress this year. Mizzou's offense along with Maclin doing returns could spell trouble for the Big 12 this year. I would be very surprised if they aren't playing in the Big 12 championship.

did you even watch that game or did you just check the highlights and pull it to vy? well i was at the rose bowl that night and if you were too, you could see that it was a complete fluke, sc should've been up 21 points in the first ten minutes if dwayne jarrett connects on his wr toss, reggie doesnt lateral, and they make the correct call on the vy knee.

biggest fluke of a game ever and i'm a massive sc fader ats

by far the best team every year since 2002

I love it when people base their bets off what espn idiot talking heads say. If you are handicapping games based on what people on TV say then you need to find a new hobby ASAP. The whole time I was listening to those idiots talk about how UCLA had no chance the better I felt about my bet.

Florida?!!! The team that lost to MICHIGAN! If you are going to pick one team to bring up against USC at least pick someone reasonable like Georgia or LSU. I think Georgia - USC were the two best teams in College Football at the end of the year.

But Florida was nowhere close to even the top 10 by then!

name a team that could've beaten SC last bowl season

the only squad that could've even come close was florida

On the other hand, sometimes you may make a wager on the right side, but it turns out wrong. everything I assumed about UCLA was true. I saw nothing to to dissuade me from that. But, whenever Tennessee fumbles away a scoring opportunity at the goal line that would have in essence broken UCLA's spirit and backs, anything can happen at that point and did.

Still, Tennessee's playcalling was horrendous. It was obvious to me that UCLA had difficulty stopping the run and Tennessee had difficulty consistently completing their passes. Still, the Tennessee play caller tried to throw the ball whenever all he had to do was pound UCLA with the run the entire second half.

Dead on Sooners. You can cap the game the best you can but you can't play it for them. TN is a better team than UCLA, period. Tennessee gave the game away, literally.

Give UCLA some fucking credit. Tennessee gave the game away? That defensive front for UCLA played their asses off and pressured the shit out of Crompton and the kid looked lost out there.

I am in no way saying UCLA is a top ten team or better overall than Tenn, but for christs sake, a little credit for their defensive efforts and the absolute dismantling by the coaching staff..

while Tennessee failed to execute and capitalize on Bruin turnovers, the play calling ensured their loss. They were gashing UCLA with the run, but for some reason, they decided to throw 41 passes.

Salty, how can they give credit to a team that was supposed to lose 38-7? "This line is way off, should be 18.5". "Vegas is asleep at the wheel with this line". "This is the lock of all locks". "UCLA is starting a third string QB and has no offensive line." If you're waiting on these losers to give UCLA credit then you're going to be waiting a long time. But Salty, we UCLA backers are the retards ad out of our minds for thinking UCLA could cover - oh wait UCLA not only covered, they won the game. How did that happen? Must have been rigged, bad officiating, bad coaching, bad bounces. The good thing is Salty, we will see them many more "locks" and "vegas put up a bad line" posts in the future.

If you're betting on sports - nothing is ever as it seems. Perception is not reality. Salty, it appears you've been around the block a few times. They will learn eventually - well maybe they will learn. Either that or eventually they will give it up.

Strange that a team that was "gashing" the other couldn't muster up more than a 7 point lead after their opponent threw four int's ad one for a touchdown. If they were "gashing" UCLA so much then surely they would have been ahead by more at the half. You think maybe UCLA had a good defense? Oh no, that makes too much sense.

I really can't give enough credit to the UCLA coaching staff. They have the best you can get on both sides of the ball. And their special teams is well...special. When you look back at the first week of the season and see why the favorites didn't cover, half of the time it's because of poor special teams play. This was most definitely the case with Tennessee. If these two teams played again Tennessee would probably win because their strategy would be different. But you don't get second chances. The UCLA coaching was just miles ahead of the Vols in every aspect of this game. As long as they keep this same staff together I look for the Bruins in a couple years to be the team to give USC their toughest challenge to the PAC-10 crown. And be a national title contender.

How ironic GoSooners that the little joke I made about UCLA's special teams getting the game ball (because they had nothing going for themselves offensively) was not far from the truth. Who'd have thunk it? Oh the irony of it all!

Where does SC have an edge over UGA right now? Not seeing one anywhere on the field, you can maybe make the WR arguement, but I think AJ Green is the next Calvin Johnson. Not that I honestly care at this point. Personally, this whole thread about SC is a waste of time. GoSooners, definitely respect your plays, and truly HATE Mark May. The SC bullshit is a joke though.

No offense, dude, but being a backer of one winning play give you the only authority to assess a game? We don't have a right to assess a game whether we win or lose?

By the way, do you have a thread on here somewhere where you posted all your plays for week #1? I was just wondering because I'd like to bask in the wisdom of your game assessments. You must have done really well . . . .

Feel free to post a link.

The ONLY reason I have posted about the UCLA game is because of how little respect any of the Tennessee stiffs gave anyone who was on UCLA. They said all week what a blowout this would be and called everyone on UCLA "stupid, retarded, brain dead". That's the ONLY reason I have brought anything up. Show a little respect to others on here who disagree with you.

I never called anyone "stupid, retarded, brain dead" or anything else. Show some respect to me. I gave a damn good assessment of what happened in the game. I gave it so we can consider the information for our next wagers on either team. It's a gambling forum not a "fan" site. Sift through the shit and listen to the useful information in any given thread and you will be less offended and a better handicapper.

Peace.

Not talking about you, talking about many others on here. I was called many names for taking UCLA. I don't really care but if I am going to be called names for taking a team then I'm going to make sure they hear about it.

Internet cowboys. Usually afflicting the young, inexperienced and stupid egotists who were spoiled by their mothers and never righteously whupped on their juvenile delinquent asses by their fathers.

I lost a ton on UT. Well not exactly "lost" but what I would have won had they shown up for the game. Last time I will ever bet that team whenever it travels more than 3 miles from Knoxville.
