Anti-semitism, 4 wives, hmmm...makes me think...maybe you need to consider a conversion to Islam. Those guys pretty much do the same with their wives except they skip the messy divorce proceedings. Just a thought.

Wow, I can't decide what I'd rather do more -- get my nuts cut off as per Shotgun's suggestion, or convert to Islam as per Darryl's. I never knew I elicited such illwill among posters.

Regarding the anti-Semitic comment, as I have said very plainly in this post, I have nothing against the Jewish people. I have several somethings against the US' foreign policy towards Israel, including this newly-discovered bit of trash which prevents US companies from divulging whether or not a product is produced in Israel, and making Americans suspect for asking (a report must be filed if such an "incident" occurs.) Many Americans from across the political and demographic spectrum are fond of the boycott of a given nation, company, or class of companies (an example of this third type would be companies that offer animal-tested products, regardless of their nationality or other factors.) While I personally am skeptical of the boycott process as an effective means of protest, it is a clear exercise in individual choice, freedom of which is one of the few moral standards that I have left.

The notion that it is not only difficult but illegal for Americans to gain the very basic and simple knowledge about a given product required to enable them to choose (however irrationally) to boycott that product, is offensive to me in the extreme.

As an aside, what if I were to join the silly boycott of French products which was half-heartedly espoused by some here in the States a few months back, and picked up an Israeli-made product and asked about it's origins in a vague manner, as in "Where was this made?" versus "Was this made in France?" Is this an "incident" as per the above-cited guidelines, or is it only an "incident" if I say "Israel?"

On the four wives=Islam tip, I'm not sure what to think -- I do not have enough knowledge of Islam to know what their policy on multiple marriages are. My first wife passed away, my second and third marriages ended in divorce, and my fourth is in what could be considered a very bad patch at the moment, one from which I do not consider it likely that it will recover. What it is you think I have "done" with my wives is beyond me, as I have offered virtually zero insight as to the nature of the failures of previous marriages, or the problems in my current one, and can't really imagine any circumstance under which it would be of interest to yourself or the forum at large. One comment ilicited a response from primetime21, the answer to which in retrospect could have been less detailed and sill conveyed the point -- and from there I've had castration and a change of gods recommended. Not to offend, but I really must question the viability of these prescriptions, and wonder as to the success of some other posters' marital lives.

Whoa Billy! Sorry if I didn't express myself any more clearly, but I meant no ill will whatsoever in my post, which was just an attempt at humor (which I see has failed miserably)

I agree with your views on Isreal and I, too, could easily be jailed for anti-semitism based on some of my views.

My love life sounds similar to yours and I think Islam offers a pretty good solution by allowing you to just marry another woman if you get tired of the one you've got. Mind you I don't think I could get myself to pray 5x a day, give up drinking and gambling, and go on a fast for a month each year. So it looks like I'll just have to stick to my own religion for now.

I think you post some pretty cool stuff and I hope you don't take offense to what I said since none was intended, although I can see how it could have been misinterpreted. Next time I'll make sure to elaborate more.

DP -- was more confused than anything; couldn't figure out the motive.

No gambling? Five prayers a day? Allah can suck me. If he's any good, I'll think about it.
