Jamba Juice looking strong! up another 4% today at $12.22...earnings come out Aug 4 - 8th. I've been buying on any dips and am in at $10.50, $10.80, $10.56, $10.66 and $11.78....average of $10.89....have a look, you may want to consider picking some up if it pulls back at all. It usually goes down more than the market on down days, so may be some opportunities....

Jamba Juice (JMBA) was up more than 4% after hours following its better-than-expected second-quarter earnings.
The smoothie maker said it earned 44 cents a share on revenue of $64.2 million. Analysts were expecting the company to earn 36 cents a share on revenue of $64 million.
The company said that it sees company-owned same stores sales of 2%-4% for the year, with store-level margins of 18%-19% and operating margins of 2%-3%.

I was getting real good at poker when all the mess went down.
I would really like to know how good I would be right now if that did not happen.

I still play occasionally on Bovada and live.
But less then 1% of the volume I use to play at PS.

I can tell I'm not nearly as good as I use to be.

But if you would have ask me this 5 years ago the easy answer would have been poker.

PS was a dream.
You could make 50K a year just on the bonus program.

I was just starting to hit my stride when it all came down.

Jamba Juice gives activists two board seats

Two of the company’s large investors will get a greater say on how the company is run.

Activist investors looking to squeeze some change out of Jamba Juice have won two seats on the restaurant chain’s board — appointments that give two of the company’s large investors a greater say on how the company is run.
Jamba JMBA 8.76% on Tuesday said that Engaged Capital, which owns about 8.2% of the company, and JCP Investment Management, which has a 2.3% stake, wereeach given a board seat with the agreement that they will vote in favor of the election of the company’s slate of directors for an upcoming annual meeting. A date for that meeting has not yet been set.

“Jamba is focused on driving shareholder value as we expand our juicing platform and transition to an asset-light, franchise-focused model,” said CEO James White. “We believe that including representatives from two of Jamba’s largest investors is in the best interest of the company and all shareholders.”

JCP managing member James Pappas, and Glenn Welling, chief investment officer at Engaged Capital, were each appointed to Jamba’s board effective immediately. They will also be up for election at the company’s annual shareholders meeting.

I'd say more like 85% can't win consistently at sports gambling.

It might be 85 or 90 in the short-term, it could be even lower.

Over a large sample once regression to the mean begins to set in then it is going to be around 99%. Even higher really if you factor in every single recreational gambler.

It depends on other stuff too like how many plays a person is making and what markets they are betting in but in general the % is very, very low over the long-term. Fortunately for people taking bets, nobody really sees things long-term.
