Jordan....and plenty of other good teams

Jordan didn't play in the West though

Drexler, Barkley, Dream, D Rob all had better teams in the West than the Jazz in that period. It isn't like Stockton/Malone were trapped on the 2009 Cleveland Cavaliers either, Hornacek was a good scorer and Eaton won defensive player of the year twice.

From 85-96 they played together and didn't getout of the Western Conference. They are considered 2 of the top 25 players of all time.

Malone is another one, he had better work ethic and stayed in shape so people think he is better than Barkley now. C'mon Barkley was way better than Malone in their primes. People just tend to favor longevity sometimes. I think longevity is a good tiebreaker in "who was better" debates but I'm more interested in who was the better player, not who had a longer career.

Different opinions are what make the world go around.

I actually think Paul is a tad overrated.

He's one of the best pg's today, but that's not saying much when you think about it....

I won't even use 85-88 since Stock/Malone were young then but 88-95 they lost in rd 1 4/7 times!

Stockton would excel in todays game though (atleast offensively), everyone pretty much mainly runs pick and roll now and he was the best at that. He was before his time a little....

I think I lean stockton because he was so good for so long....but I cant defend the argument for stockton at all

I honestly think CP3 is faster, a better scorer, better at creating, better defensively, a better team motivator, etc. Draw in smarts....Stockton gave 110% but I can't say CP3 gives less effort because I think he gives tremendous effort.

My reason for Paul is a pure business decision, he's more marketable, and as a GM cash is king.

for today's game i'll have to say CP, stockton wasn't that athletic and PGs nowadays are more athletic than those years, plus to me CP has more scoring ability.

cause he is white? I'd say white guys get overrated rather than underrated if anything.

Stockton made the Dream Team over Isiah
Mullin made it over Dominique
Laentner made it over Shaq

I think Stockton/Malone are both a little overrated though. People have both of them top 25 all time yet they couldn't even make the finals in the West until everyone else got old (Barkley, Dream, Drexler, Magic)

If you got 2 of the best 25 of all time that isn't adding up.

Isiah didn't make the team because Michael Jordan hated him. Had nothing to do with white/black.

In agreement with you on Mullin and Laettner though.
