You are the GM of an expansion team and you can have Lamar Jackson or Jimmy G as your QB. What's your choice?

I wouldn't call Lamar much of a liability compared Jimmy G.

Jimmy G threw 8 passes because he is the liability....AKA Shannahan did not trust him to make throws. I'd rather have a QB you can trust to make plays.

The Niners would love to move off Jimmy G

You missed the Ravens-Titans game last year ? Ravens lost that game to Titans because of Lamar. Probably could say the same thing with Chargers game the year before.

This is asine and wrong. They had a scary good running game and who would replace him if they moved him? Nick Mullens?

How so? they definitely want to move off of Jimmy G. Replace him with, hmm, let me see, maybe Mitchell Trubisky, or even Matt Ryan makes sense. But, they know they can't get it done with the wet noodle they have now, and they have a shit ton of talent at WR that needs a QB, and Shanahan may be just the guy to have a chance to develop Trubisky...

And think about what you're saying.

The league MVP, with one of the best offenses the league had ever seen and with homefield advantage got curb stomped by Tennessee in the playoffs.

Why? Because Lamar struggles against good defenses.

But, didn't gain revenge and win last week? But, that doesn't count I guess because that Tennessee D will be labeled as trash I guess...

"Takes their team"

Jimmy G was taken to a Super Bowl by his team. He threw 8 passes in the NFC Championship Game. Think about that....EIGHT.

Lamar Jackson was the league MVP, and healthy Jimmy G at best is a median level QB in the NFL.

I bet every GM in the NFL would take Lamar over healthy Jimmy -- including the Niners.

They most definitely would. Jimmy G is a wet noodle.

Lamar Jackson. The play is always alive with him. Jimmy G's new nickname should be "Glass Joe"

They would inconveniently forget that, as if it even matters. The answer to the original question is so obvious.

Oh, and apparently Lamar lost to the Titans and not the Ravens

Jimmy G could possibly end up back in NE. All I know is SF knows they aren't getting it done with him...Deebo, Kittle, and Aiyuk are badasses, and all they need is a Top 15 QB to have a chance at a SB run, and they already know that's not gonna happen with Wet Noodle Jimmy G...

Rather they think Lamar lost to the Titans by himself, and the team didn’t lose to the Titans.

Even though the Ravens won last week , primarily with the defense , their still in worse shape playoff wise than last year.. This round last year , #1 seed home for playoffs.. This year road underdog....

Curious about this. He's their starting QB in the SB last year and they want to move him for a guy like Trubisky? Why?

Because he has a wet noodle arm that can’t get the badass stud WR core they have the ball.

I’m not saying Trubisky is great, but he’s better than wet noodle, and Shanahan MIGHT be able to make something of him, maybe...

Same goes for Matt Ryan, they’ll snag him up over Jimmy G as well. He’s no HOF’er either, but it’s better than Jimmy G...

One of these will most likely happen (maybe Ryan more now that Trubisky made the Playoffs, idk...), but you can continue to stay on the Jimmy G train, he’s garbage. Watch him end up in NE again, that’d be funny...

Not really though. Ravens have had lots of success as a road team.
I still don't see a SB though

And this game also , at least a major reason why they lost..

I will let you know this time of the year in 2021 (God willing) - the wildcat initially worked - but if Lamar can play like this two years in a row then he’s for real - I still truly believe he’s gonna be out of the QB position real quick with that arm

2021 is here!
