NFL players who knelt during playing of the SSB were vilified by many

MLB and other pro athletes who voluntarily contract COVID should be equally or more shamed

"new season" with same poorly constructed roster

We had a baseball discussion here in the Main Poly/Anti-Vax forum in April. And those were my exact words "poorly constructed roster". I'm flattered that you liked it and use it but must your hatred for the Yankees always have that prerequisite all the time? They've improved the batting order and roster with the addition of Rizzo and Gallo. Are they championship material? No. But who would want to face this team in a one game WC with Cole on the bump or a best of 5 with assuming a healthier roster at it's best. Stay tuned.

One in past 20 seasons is admittedly more than zero

If you're referring to the Yankees they won the pennant 12 years ago in 2009 when they took the WS from the Phillies.

Correct...that was their one ring in past 20 years

No hatred here for Yankees or any sports org

But since I still view this anti-vax/trumplickers forum nostalgically as a "sports betting forum" my comments are intended to gently advise anyone thinking of betting Yankees to win much of anything in 2021

I've witnessed seven Championship seasons. You?

Seven rings in past 57 seasons is also a respectable number

Maybe we should create a fresh thread to celebrate historical moments in The Great Game

The Yankees of pre-2010 have many

Full disclosure...As a teenager in DFW TX waiting on the Rangers franchise to take shape I was a huge fan of the 1976-1978 Yankees. featuring Hunter & Reggie

I cried when Bucky Dent hit that fly ball home run over the monster to beat the Sox in their 1 game playoff.
