Seems when news comes out it goes down but when rumors are floating, it goes up. Really thought the Russell would have brought it up some but don't see any big buys from institutions yet. I'm long but mad not selling my profits when it was 3.78 a share and buy back more when it was 2.94.

There was a 2 million buy on Friday at close or just after. No need to be mad or watch it so closely. It will go back Up! Buy the dips! IMO set an amount to go long with, that you do not touch, let the other amounts get in and get out. What if you sold at 3.78 and it went to 4.78????.... you would be more pissed!! Its all good, its a long term play IMO!

^Exactly...can't be watching too closely on a long-term hold, or play the "what if I had sold my profits and re-bought" game...let's wait her out!

Agree with everything you are saying but I am out of money to put more into it so only way I can get more shares is if I sell some on gains and buy back when it drops. I am trying to stash extra money away so I can just buy more and not have to sell but it sucks waiting knowing its going to take off like a rocket once news hits. But at least I have shares!!

Another delay...ugh!! Ringing the bell on NYSE next week has been moved to October now. Shorts are going to bail for now and stock will fall but I'm not worried about it. This is a long investment but don't see target of 9 per share at end of year as predicted.

Time2shine, did you say you know the company very well? What is going on? Can they not get the MSA done? I'm long but every day its dropping more and more and not sure if I want to continue holding since no news what's going on. Can you fill me in on what you know?

A little history for you Daigo and others.... the Liggett group(4th largest in tobacco company in the US, was partnered with the original owners of XXII under Quest cigarettes, see link)....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liggett_Group. That relationship failed as "Big tobacco, Liggett" tried to "steal" the technology. Liggett lost in court and these little guys have now sold over 15 million research/ test cigarettes to the US gov't. They are awaiting FDA approval on that revenue stream. IMO a least a year to come. They most likely will partner with some Big money and do phase 3 clinical trial. The point is that the technology is proven!!! 22nd Century LTD..XXII... has produced a safer cigarette to the world!! It's just a matter of time my friend.
MSA approval is different and for a few different products they offer.

XXII is a long term play as stated when this thread was 1st posted. Ask Matty Matt, he knows the deal! Big BIG BIGGER money and players will be buying in this stock soon.

This stock has been a traders paradise. Buy low, sell high or just buy low and wait!!!! Enjoy!

"CLARENCE, N.Y. — 22nd Century Group, Inc. (NYSE MKT:XXII) today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on July 29, 2014 and the Korean Intellectual Property Office on July 23, 2014, each granted a patent to the Company for its NBB technology that virtually eliminates nicotine in the tobacco plant. The resulting tobacco plants are planted, grown, harvested, cured, processed, and made into tobacco products, including cigarettes, exactly the same as conventional tobacco."

Some new positions have been reported for Q2. MSN Money also reports new positions opened by Vanguard and Fidelity.
