First, you need to settle on what level of risk you are willing to suggest. Keep in mind that you will lose and at times lose over a longer period of time that you may not like.
To ensure that you first start with enough in your bankroll to withstand the losing streaks. This will also help you determine how much you're willing to wager on individual wagers.
