There shouldn't have ever been any sanctions against the program. They will be a national power house again in a very short time. great coach and fanbase.

People from Pittsburgh on this site are weird. Rolltide is a known psycho. He won't budge no matter what facts are presented and he couldn't care less who's thrown under the bus wrongfully. Pure hate in his soul"
says the self-styled scholarly lib who claims that people from Pittsburgh are weird and people from Backwoodland, Alaska (such as he claims to be) are not.

You can easily tell where his heart is on the subject of appropriate punishment for sexual predators and all who embrace them and follow them within the institution that harbored them. Just think of all the free passes doled out by the powers at be at the time -- including Paterno. He has made it known by default that his only real interest in this was to try his damnedest to steer clear of what he KNEW was one hell of a hot potato he didn't want his name associated with which was why he tried to bury it every chance he got.

As far as the present student body goes... Who said anything about "deserve" anyway? This has nothing to do with deserve. It has everything to do with showing some respect on an institutional level for the victims that have no choice but to try to live down something they didn't deserve if that word is even relevant at all. And may I also remind you Mr. Akphidelt that the substance of this is not just a civil matter. It is about as criminal as anything can get. Now instead of the current student body demonstrating their disgust and their rejection of this issue by standing up against what they KNOW was done at their own institution, they get a free pass and an opportunity to share in the whitewashing that is being done for (get this) the sake of glorious football ...and OH! while they are at it... FUCK PRINCIPLES, FUCK MORALITY AND FOR GOD'S SAKES LEAVE FOOTBALL OUT OF THIS !!

You know what I also find weird Akphidelt? I find it weird when someone that claims to own the moral high ground abstains from endorsing punishment of institutional evil and instead looks for ways to minimize any effort to punish the institution responsible for heinous crimes against children. I do find it weird that you would claim the moral high ground without showing even an ounce of compassion for the young ones who's lives will never be the same and will more than likely be painfully affected by an act of sexual predation for as long as they live. What the fuck do you think this is all about anyway? Football?

Oh sorry... did I say a bad word? I am terribly sorry for doing that because I thought Penn State is where it's permissible to have a staff that seeks opportunities to buttfuck teenage boys (and younger) provided such acts are duly buried and never discussed to save face. (The Jopa solution.)

What I don't get about this whole NCAA charade is why they keep referring to PSU's athletic department?

The VP of Admin (or whatever the hell he was) and the President enabled this. PSU was rotten to the core (though they still employ that global warming hockey stick fraud) and these issues are bigger than the athletic department.

EXACTLY!!
Move this shit to the rubber room where it belongs!
Sandusky is a scum bag as is the VP and the rest who turned a blind eye.
Students and the rest of the program need not suffer due to their sick ways.
Their is enough BS in this world. I'd like to think I can come to a sports forum to avoid some of that shit for a bit.
Don't make me break out my guns.

Pitt people are a little strange@)

what else is there to refer to? it's all about winning football games at that shit hole. look at the two nitters that responded in this thread.

1) thinks i'm pissed because of Pitt's football program? lol, i'm easily the most critical person on this forum when discussing Pitt and, frankly, i don't really much thought about them. they don't care about their football program so i certainly won't
2) next fella talks about how they'll be a national power again really fast. wow, congrats. keep allowing sandusky those box seats and PSU facilities to be a predator....that doesn't matter. just win

glad i got to see bama beat their ass twice with that pedophile enabler in charge. was just two more games that had him shitting his pants with that pussy redhead by his side

Yeah, I don't think people realize the status Pitt football holds here. The idea that anyone in Pittsburgh is 'mad' they don't have a college team to cheer for is freakin' hilarious.

I've said this before: These Penn State people are utterly delusional about PSU being some "national power" ever again. And that has nothing to do with the Sandusky scandal. The last time PSU could be considered relevant to "national power" status was.....1994.

The glory days for PSU are over, folks. That isn't to say they can't or won't get to 10 wins and a nice bowl game. But "national power" in an era of the SEC & Pac 12 is preposterous. The fastest most talented kids aren't going to Happy Valley (or Pitt, WVU, Notre Dame, etc).

Haha go figure..a negative post from someone from Pittsburg....

show ow me one piece of evidence where joe paterno had any knowledge of what Sandusky, someone who was not even a coach at the time..was doing...

you do know that after the alleged incident that mcquery "said" that he witnessed, the only charge Sandusky was found not Guilty on by the way...that the children and youth services and other child protection agencies interviewed Sandusky and did background checks and allowed him to adopt children right? If professions didn't know he was dojng that shit...how the fuck does paterno know...

some of you people need to actually read the freeh report in it's full extent and then read the report that the paternos furnished.....and I'm not talking about either of the cliff notes, I'm talking about the whole thing, I am certain your tune will change...unless you are from Pittsburgh

R u Fcking kidding me. From Joe paterno " I should have done more " I am from Pittsburgh and this has nothing to do with that. It's about the victims....

Joe paterno is a total fraud and that entire admin were scumbags. Sandusky should be put to death. Those people are now gone.

Keeping scholarships from deserving kids does nothing to help the victims.

Lol, Alaska is a degenerate wasteland, I have never once said that it wasn't. I was not raised here. And I have seen all the evidence. If anyone should be put on trial it should be local law enforcement who basically did nothing. It's not Joepa's job to get out his DNA kit and go investigating crimes. The evidence that Joepa and Penn St were involved in this is very circumstantial. It was one man who took advantage of his position that deserves to rot in hell. Penalizing the current athletes, students, coaches, etc for the act of one man is ridiculous.

The whole "everything is wonderfull" Happy Valley knew sandusky was a child rapist for many years. Including Joepa. I think Conan said it best. Winning was more important.

Your whole tune would change if your kid was raped. That makes you the "dumbass"

For all you conspiracy freaks , it looks like the BIG TEN has backed down , and one would have to assume, is basically saying, PSU and JOE did nothing wrong, we really screwed this up and would like to forget this happened

Why else would they, along with the NCAA , be so agreeable BEFORE the trails ! ( assuming there will ever be any)

I mean what what kind of position will they be in if Spanier , Schultz, and Curley , are found guilty of everything they are accused of, and they along with JOE, Mike Mcqueary, the second mile, the campus police, and of course Dottie , all did conspire to hide this ????

:ohno:

Weeks after Paterno’s wins were restored to Penn State, the school will have its share of the conference Bowl Revenue's restored.

I want to go on record that Penn State stadium should be destroyed and a new one built because of the sins of a coach. I also would like to see all Penn State graduates during Joe Paterno's career have their degrees voided. Voided, every last Goddamn one of them. Also a must...all player records during Joe's time as coach wiped out. Further more, no hint of the Paterno name should ever be displayed in Happy Valley, on campus or in the area of Happy Valley, soon to be named Sad Valley. The "Nittany Lions should be change to the "Pussey Cats" and the University of Pittsburg will be named the "Favorite" university in Pennsylvania.

The gall of Penn State makes me sick.....help them Obama!

Topping off Penn State's sins...President Obama will come and lecture the university on how not to tell lies.

XXXXXXX take some dynamite to this fucking loser school...........blow it to hell...kill it once and for all.

It's time to move on people. IT is done. You Alabama fans are going to have to look for another excuse now to hide the real truth. The truth being that Alabama is no longer the power in ollege football it once was. With the new system in plae, Alabama will NOT automatially get in to the playoffs beause of their name, especially after the last two seasons. In the last two seasons, 'Bama has gotten their tails handed to them by Ohio State and Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl. That has to tell you something about the SEC in general, and 'Bama football specifically.

The people not letting this go are the Cult Staters bumping all these dead threads. They're trying to resurrect their glorious leader.

RunLee....I think it's time Penn State moves on. Happy Valley is a neat place...with tons of students who are proud of their university and just wants to get a great education. Like you...I'm tired of the crap.

Personally, love to see Penn State football do well................
