People from Pittsburgh on this site are weird. Rolltide is a known psycho. He won't budge no matter what facts are presented and he couldn't care less who's thrown under the bus wrongfully. Pure hate in his soul"
says the self-styled scholarly lib who claims that people from Pittsburgh are weird and people from Backwoodland, Alaska (such as he claims to be) are not.
You can easily tell where his heart is on the subject of appropriate punishment for sexual predators and all who embrace them and follow them within the institution that harbored them. Just think of all the free passes doled out by the powers at be at the time -- including Paterno. He has made it known by default that his only real interest in this was to try his damnedest to steer clear of what he KNEW was one hell of a hot potato he didn't want his name associated with which was why he tried to bury it every chance he got.
As far as the present student body goes... Who said anything about "deserve" anyway? This has nothing to do with deserve. It has everything to do with showing some respect on an institutional level for the victims that have no choice but to try to live down something
they didn't deserve if that word is even relevant at all. And may I also remind you Mr. Akphidelt that the substance of this is not just a civil matter. It is about as criminal as anything can get. Now instead of the current student body demonstrating their disgust and their rejection of this issue by standing up against what they KNOW was done at their own institution, they get a free pass and an opportunity to share in the whitewashing that is being done for (get this) the sake of glorious football ...and OH! while they are at it... FUCK PRINCIPLES, FUCK MORALITY AND FOR GOD'S SAKES LEAVE FOOTBALL OUT OF THIS !!
You know what I also find weird Akphidelt? I find it weird when someone that claims to own the moral high ground abstains from endorsing punishment of institutional evil and instead looks for ways to minimize any effort to punish the institution responsible for heinous crimes against children. I do find it weird that you would claim the moral high ground without showing even an ounce of compassion for the young ones who's lives will never be the same and will more than likely be painfully affected by an act of sexual predation for as long as they live. What the fuck do you think this is all about anyway? Football?
Oh sorry... did I say a bad word? I am terribly sorry for doing that because I thought Penn State is where it's permissible to have a staff that seeks opportunities to buttfuck teenage boys (and younger) provided such acts are duly buried and never discussed to save face. (The Jopa solution.)
