True, but that's what they do in college hoops. I've seen teams down 15 points fouling with under :10 to go. It's the complete opposite of the NBA. In the NBA teams mail it in pretty early, in college they never seem to realize when the game is out of reach.

I think Mr. Cover's point was that it's hard for Purdue backers to feel like they got screwed, considering OSU shouldn't have fouled down 5 with only :04 to play. He's agreeing with you that OSU would have lost by 5 and covered if not for the meaningless foul. At least that's what I think he's saying.

Then, had Pur-don't -5.5 and lost.
