Plenty of upsets have occurred. Top programs will NEVER schedule the top level I-AA teams. This is a pretty well known fact over the last # of years as the talent difference has shrunk considerably. They only schedule the cupcakes that they can't possibly lose to.
Go find your top programs & find out if they will take playing upper echelon I-AA teams like Northern Iowa, Delaware, Southern Illinois, New Hampshire, Appalachian State, San Diego, UC Davis, etc.... versus your bottom level teams. Good luck as they won't schedule them for various reasons.
I am sorry but it is not. I know that the talent difference between the two squads is not what the average person thinks it is. The difference usually comes in the talent level of depth or overall depth.
N. Iowa is one of the upper echelon teams in I-AA & have played competitively against I-A teams & have won as well. They lost a game against Iowa State a couple of years ago that they should have won. They went back the next year & beat them much more than the final score indicates.
They look forward to these in-state games against players they have spent the previous years playing for and against in high school. They are a team you can count on who comes to win & not just collect a check like some other I-AA teams.
Wow what the fuck are you smoking?, I LIVE in Iowa. I KNOW UNI is a good 1-AA team consistantly year in and year out. I KNOW they beat Iowa State a few years ago(woopde fucking do by the way).
Do you realize the TOP 10 1-AA teams that play Top Division 1 Teams (Especially a top 25 program) get the SHIT kicked out of them on a consistant basis????????????????? That sir is a FACT. Just because the talent is getting a little closer or App State beating Michigan doesnt mean shit.
