There are so many degenerate stiffs around here - it's almost unbelievable - I've spoken to very reputable posters here and you would not believe the names of the people that have stiffed them - long time posters here have stiffed and just keep posting away - don't waste your time asking for names - it's not my job to do that - I would never lend anything to anyone here

Unfortunately playing bookmaker on the internet with total strangers is going to get you stiffed occasionally, especially when all they (the stiffs) have to do when in debt is disssapear from a posting forum.
How about the so called very reputable posters who now are on the known stiff list. Insiders, Clip Joint, Journeyman, etc. They can pay or they can say screw you, come find me. There is nothing but personal integrity (which some people on these forums have in spades regardless of what you hear) to motivate a person to send the 5,10, or 20K etc they owe.
We are not talking about posters borrowing money to buy baby food but guys who want to bet and other guys giving them credit to do so. Natrually there will be a list of no pay posters whose identies would shock most of us.
That is the nature of the game, multiply the chances of being stiffed because most of us are strangers to each other because this is the internet and it is even less of a surprise.

Will, I would say Journey is the most aggregious I have seen - at least the other guys seemed to disappear - J thought he could just stiff everyone and go to a new forum and in time everyone would forget - now, I'm confident he will be posting somewhere in 10 years from now - it's what he does for a living - it's what he knows - and in 10 years from now everyone will still recognize him as a stiff - I truly believe if he could go back in time he would have paid - I would imagine this haunts him - I mean everytime he posts you have 30 guys jump in the thread and call him a scumbag stiff - within 5 mintues the newest newbies know he's regarded as a stiff - if you're going to make your living as an internet poster it's great to be controversial but it's entirely different to be known as a thief/stiff

I just keep the fact this is a posting forum and not a bookie forum or a bank. It works out well and you never have to worry about stiffs. Liars are just as bad. What makes me laugh is when i liar says the forum is not his life. Haha yeah right if that was the case you would not of lied to be "cooler".
quick thing about stiffs..it happens all the time and will continue to happen all the time...it is a risk you take when you book...a word from the wise to anyone wanting to become a book...
don't let people play more per game than they normally did,(don't let them chase,or take a shot)
always allow them to pay whatever they can comfortably come up with ,no matter what their figure is..always leave a player with a negative balance...you will get more money in the long run,due to their inability to "get back to even"
don't sweat it so much when you do get stiffed...just think of the amount of free money you got from them over the time they did play with you..
no pressure from you goes a long ways in their thoughts about you and their ability to keep on playing and paying as they go..
in no way do i support stiffs although i look back and laugh at the number of people that are willing to hand you free money every week..
the amount of threads here and elsewhere of the people that have trouble getting paid from books should be your first clue to the amount of people that actually win...hehehehehheeeeeeee
i had over 400 customers and on any given week the amount of people that needed to be paid (based on their settle up figure of course) was not even close to 10 people on ANY WEEK..true story
and i do wish i just had 10% of the money i was stiffed out of..but without that i would not have been able to get all the free money i did get
