Good point about live betting. I dont care about the kids skin or anyone that thinks that entitles him to kid gloves or unfair criticism. I mean this team goes down early and they just scrap the whole game plan. Harbaugh, what are you doing? I cant wait to bet against this kid in the play offs for the third year in a row. For as much shit as Josh Allen has taken, he looks like a new qb this year. Been really impressed with his passing.

Just saw this stat:

Since Lamar Jackson has been drafted in 2018, the Ravens are 0-9 after trailing at halftime (including playoffs). They are also the ONLY team in the NFL without a single win after trailing at halftime in that span

Diggs is doing wonders for Allen
Plus I'm a BIG fan of the rookie Gabe Davis as he was a STUD in college

i got em 0-10.... but they were horrible trailing at HT previous year too (0-7) and have now lost 20 straight trailing at HT. Over the same period their division rivals are actually >.500 when training at the half

date > 20161201 and M2 < 0 and ...

Lamar Jackson has literally lost 1 non-playoff game against any team but the Chiefs in games where he was the starter.

Josh Allen threw for more than 275 yards 0 times last year - maybe wait until after 3 games in 2020 to say he has totally transformed as a player?

And he is 0-2 in the playoffs against teams he should have beaten. He is an average passer
He will still have success but he isn't really an MVP player
Passin is how you make a comeback which is why he has trouble

I don’t think you can say he should’ve beat Chargers as a rookie. That was a pretty good team and it was like his 10th start.

All of this obscures the goal post moving though. Being ahead of market on Jackson has been very profitable because people thought he was going to be a massive bust.

Just because he isn’t as good as the elite QBs doesn’t change that.

I think many of us are crapping on Lamar a little more than he deserves based on a discussion on here 9 or 10 months ago

Hey, I said he will be out of the league real quick - that was last year - obviously, it looks like I was wrong - but I'm not sold Lamar is starting in 3 years

I don't. I like plenty of white QBs - Brees, Brady, Rodgers, Minshew, I even like Josh Allen - but that doesn't mean I think he is better than Josh Allen.

If you look at the stats and record of the two since they came into the league - Jackson is clearly better and its not really close.

If you want to argue that you would rather have Josh Allen because you think Lamar Jackson gets hurt, I get it but thats not what people are arguing here.

Its just odd to give Josh Allen all this credit from 3 games against mediocre competition and say he is a brand new QB and previous seasons mean nothing

But does that mean Josh Allen is better than him?

And he was a rookie QB in that start against the Chargers. How do rookie QBs fair in there first playoff start on average?

Overall since they both came into the league, you are 100% correct.

But is that what is being debated now? I think the question was.. Who would you rather have right now moving forward?

I would imagine people are basing their answers on how both are playing right now and how both project moving forward.

The Rams look a little better than mediocre. Let's call in 2 games against trash and 1 game against a good team.

But this isn't the question though.

Watch both of these QBs and evaluate their talent individually. As a GM, does Allen or Lamar Jackson have a better chance of wininng you a Super Bowl? It's really that simple.

Yea, I think Lamar Jackson has a better chance of winning the super bowl than Josh Allen. I think Jackson has a higher chance of getting hurt but I'd bet on him over Josh Allen.

There is a reason that people usually have better stats....and its because they are better players.

NFL players voted Lamar Jackson the number 1 player in the league. I tend to think they are are pretty dialed in to who is good. I don't remember where Josh Allen was voted

Agree - and you saw Allen struggle more in the game against the Rams but he still had an overall good game
