The OP probably is one of those screamers who believe now that saying Chinese food and Chinese restaurants are racists.

The USA is trying to be overtaken by a bunch of feables.

Might as well ask the Klan to stop using the "n" word.

Nothing but 100% respect for shdw01, always been a great poster and great guy.
Disagree with you on this issue though buddy. I have no problem with anyone calling out the government that certainly did their part in fucking us over here. 99.99% of people are smart enough to realize this does not somehow implicate Chinese-Americans or even Chinese citizens. The other 0.01% would hate regardless, not sure I buy that they are somehow incited by the verbiage.

Do agree that some are trying way too hard to use this as a "gotcha" moment against Trump. They have flocked here to scream the daily gloom and doom from the highest mountaintop as some kind of sick "told you so" that orange man bad. I have no problem with someone calling out Trump's response to this as wrong or inadequate (I personally disagree on most individual points of contention), but the rampant politicization is pretty disgusting. But idgaf if someone wants to call him orange man...I mean, he IS pretty orange. Call things what they are. :)

Anyone hope you're well man, cheers.

Agree 100% with your post Harry.. I haven't heard any reports of Chinese Americans getting harrassed or attacked by stupid Americans.. Doesn't take alot of smarts to figure out that the Chinese communist govt is the enemy , not its people..NBA players don't understand this , but that's another conversation

I hear, China Virus, Chinese Virus, Orange Leader, etc.

I don't mind hearing opinions but it sucks to hear people's agendas. Left or Right. Extremists are taking over this forum. Hard to talk to regular people.
:bunnies: off you :poop:head , I bet your offended at everything ....... it's the CHINESE VIRUS ......say it

Exactly ..... we're smart enough to know the difference , my friend in d.c. says it was planned that news outlets start pushing stories about chinese-americans getting harrassed & attacked , the stories are false plain & simple . She admitted that their might be a few isolated cases but not as many as the media will tell you

I have no problem with hate on China as a country and as the source of fucking things up. Drop a bomb on them for all I care.

I have actually heard reports of stupid Americans that have abused and harassed Chinese Americans.

Totally agree that using the Chinese virus term is not offensive. Not in nature and not in actuality.

But there are idiots out there that jump to conclusions. It's easier just to not do it. Same with racial slurs. Might not even be malicious but why even take the chance you hurt someone's feelings or breed stupid people's interpretations

When this virus wasnt really in the US yet but only overseas....i saw a local news report saying chinatown was a ghost town. I seen chinese people on the news explaining that you cant get the virus from talking to chinese people or eating chinese food.

Lmao

Did the absence in Chinatown reports come before or after it was correctly announced as the Chinese flu

Ehh, China town is fucked

lets not get it twisted that Americans are gonna just flock there anymore. And there will absolutely be hate crimes as this is a stressful time for many and they're going to act out.

But what we say on this board doesn't really impact anything.

You have a good point about what we say on the board. I guess it just shows a reflection of the population. Im stupid for trying to work backwards.

Fixing the board does not fix the population.

How?

Not going to China town is 1 of the smartest ways to avoid the coronavirus pre-lockdown.

Its perfectly safe according to Pelosi during her live interview in Chinatown when this all started, and invited everyone to go visit Chinatown.

Also, for those complaining about the "Hate Attacks" on the Chinese, please post an article or video showing these attacks and by who.
