That's the 1st thing that I thought of after reading your story......scary stuff.
My brother is an avid hunter, I on the other hand have never gone hunting for the reason of being shot by accident or shooting someone else, simply scares me.
Imagine coming home to your wife & her asking, so how did golf go, & you having to tell her you killed someone .........that's super insane!
I'm glad to read that everything turned out all right. I believe things happen for a reason & when a persons time is up, its up & in between, freakish things like this happen. Do they happen to open our eyes to what's really important in life? To never take a moment in your life for granted?

i hit someone off a tee shot when i was in the middle of baseball season in HS. i never know where the ball is going when i hit it. hips flew open and hit a square line drive almost behind me…holes run parallel on that course (i'm teeing one way, next hole green is to the left of my tee box.) hit the guy in the calf and broke skin, bruised, swelling, bleeding…did a lot of damage and i could hear him screaming, felt so bad. out of the corner of my eye after i hit the ball i see someone do a barrel roll in my peripheral, i thought i hit it straight. super nice guy after all of that. 5 or so feet higher i might've killed him. i mean i absolutely roped the ball off the tee and he was only about 50 yds away. took a long golf hiatus after that.

Thats exactley one of my thoughts driving down to the green. I was watching him for movement and there was none. I was thinking if I killed this guy my life is virtually over as well. (sounds a little selfish) but my life is going as well as it ever has and to have something like this happen so freakish...well.. would be about par for my life.
