Maybe??????

BUT IT WAS " THE" BEST DEFENSIVE PLAY of the Game
Jesus Christ give the kid credit for making the play!!!!!!!!!!!Because if he does not
..

Everyone would be saying how great of a call it was when Seattle won!!!!!!

The rookie made a great play but NO ONE would have said it was a good call even if it worked. Seattle was given a gift by the catch to put the ball on the 5 yd line. Carroll blew that game for them.

Because you want to show everyone how fucking brilliant you are.

Instead, you show everyone how dumb you are.

Worst play call in NFL history. Bar None.

You got some competition with the Packers. Intercepting a ball and sliding to the turf for no logical reason. Fielding an onside kick and having it bounce off your head. Not even trying to block or knock down a terrible, floating, lame duck, 2 point conversion try. There were some major screw ups in these championship games.

Yes there were.

And they all take a backseat to that last play call by Seattle.

Carroll needed to overturn the play call. He has a headset, he heard the call.

I have in laws from Massachusetts, and I'm tired of the fucking texts already.

So do I, and believe me I would rather see texts than listen to their obnoxious accents. Like akphi, they think everyone living below the Mason Dixon Line lives in Mayberry, with Andy Griffith heading up the local police department. I was born in Boston but I lost the accent yeahs ago. Texts are better...trust me

Not to mention why pass and give pats the ball with any time left? The packers made my stomach turn and the hawks finished it off. The only way i will have action on the dirty nfl next year is if i am the house. This has been the most ref fucked and coach fucked season ever imo.

Brady gave them 10 pts with bad decisions. The one at the goal line should have been a Pats FG. The one at the 50 yd lone was 7 pts for Seattle on a short field. I guess Wilson did not want to win by those gifts. In reality, Seahawks were lucky to be in that spot to begin with....even going back to the game with the Packers.

But yeah it was a terrible call....very bad.

Lmao@ Pete's excuse after the game, haha!!!

We were playing for 3rd & 4th down....umm....OK, so why do you pass at the 1/2 yard line?? Lmao........Pete will not hear the end of it with that play call, it will go down in NFL history as probably the worst play call ever & his name will be right there.

At least he has multi ions to alleviate some of the pain, but going from one of the best touted coaches in the league to the biggest goof ball ever with that call......let the bashing begin for the rest of his life basically.

I believe this bonehead play call that lost them the super bowl above the chip shot fg Bills missed vs Giants in bowl & Buckner missing the easy ground ball that went thru his legs.

Congrats to all the Patriots backers......its always better to be lucky than good, especially in the NFL.

Scott Norwood's miss was from 47 yards - not exactly a chip shot. Even if Buckner makes the play, the score would have been tied and the Mets would have been better than 50/50 to win the game since they batted last. The real goats were Bob Stanley and Calvin Schiraldi and they've gotten a free pass at Buckner's expense.

isn't that amazing? after making the dumbest play call in the history of sports he backs it up with the dumbest logic of all-time. playing for 3rd or 4th down? what the fuck is he talking about? i'm not sure if the jackass even realizes he just made coaching history.

Lol, I always say Norwoods miss was a chip shot because he was automatic, but yes, it was 47 yards out.

100% correct. Bevall made it about himself instead of of doing the high % play which is run Lynch 3x.

Bevalls arrogance lost this fuckign game for SEA......IMO he wanted to try and beat the rookie cornerback to win the game because NE kept beating the backup Seattle db all game after the starter broke his wrist.

Bevall deserves what he got. EGG ON HIS PUNK ASS FACE.

What I thought was weird is that Belichick did not call timeout before that play to conserve time. I wonder if he had called timeout then maybe Seattle would have more time to consider and would have thought better to run the ball instead?

A 10 year old child wouldnt have had to think to run the ball there!

If I was Carroll, I probably would be popping Valium's for the rest of my life.......how does he forget the bonehead call & then the stupidest reasoning behind the worst call ever is beyond me.......maybe he will leave Seattle & change his name.

I don't see how the fans of Seattle let him live this one down.

And every time ESPN will talk about Seattle & Carroll, they won't be talking bout the beating they gave Denver the year before, the talk will be about Mr Bonehead.......maybe he was smoking crack at HT, & lost brain cells to have explained his stated words of we were playing for 3rd & 4th down, lmao!

I tell you one thing, its amazing how you can be glorified & touted as one of the best coaches in the NFL to bring the biggest clown making the biggest mistake that a pee wee coach could have called & will probably go down in history as the worst call ever by a coach in an NFL game.

Also, I see lots of people yelling fix.......I do think games are manipulated & few people can do it, refs, qbs, & coordinators calling plays........this game here was a coin flip either way, the bookmakers got the line right.......the only way I could see a fix job would have been from Wilson or the person to have called in the play, because you have the best RB in the league & Pats rank 32 in the league in short yardage stopping........umm......whatever!

Not saying it was fixed, but who knows.......on to March Madness & Kentucky Derby.......6 more months until football again, smh!

Truly SICKENING Oh boy you guys truly truly unbelievable I agree so much with you guys. Words almost, really words almost cant give us a way to understand what just happened in that game
Disturbing, very disturbing. I've been watching and loving the NFL with a passion (like most of us) since the days of Joe Namath, Herb Adderly , Paul Warfield, George Allen, Tom Landry etc. Sorry to go on about it but to have never witnessed anything like this season along with it's rule changes and their pathetic attempt to implement them properly. It is hard to recognize that this year was professional football,
Unbelievably bad calls constantly and then more and more penalties, replay plays, and then still get them wrong. I know most of us seen how many screw ups there were all season long, with many games and the referees seemingly defying logic. (just one example of hundreds ("Kyle Orton penalty pass from endzone out of bounds - result 2 point safety; we all have our own to recall i'm sure) and with so many dumb-bell announcers and play by play that it was sometimes even hard to watch, let alone enjoy.

But that play yesterday, very disturbing, i think "computer group" and "box415" have said it best for me; but the "Wolf" must be right about it. It makes the only sense. How sickening it is for that team not to score with or at least attempt it with the "beast" or Wilson keeping on the option to scoot around the end. With a timeout to boot and 1/2 a foot to go and 3 downs and feverish momentum and a totally fuc.ed opposition. How could that Bevel be so arrogant, so selfish and Caroll not to overrule the play or Wilson to change it a the line . Was everyone nuts, it truly is unreal and almost unforgivable. On thing for sure it was sickening to see grown football coaches in the NFL come up with that play, at that time, with that rushing offence SICKENING

More than likely couldn't do this as Hawks only had one TO. Pass should have gone to the outside where you have less risk of an interception. Taking that 2nd timeout may have cost them. If you look at the replay, Wilson should have held it a tad longer and gone to Lynch in the corner - he was wide open!

Lynch was 1 of 5 this year scoring from inside 1yd this year. There were 108 passes thrown from the 1yd line this year with 66 TDS and 1 int. That 1 INT was what happened last night. If the Seahawks score on that pass, Pete Carroll is a genius because everyone in the Stadium "knew" Lynch was getting the ball but the TD never occurred, so he is a terrible coach. It's comical what goes on in this forum at times. The Patriots out played Seattle and those who were on Seattle feel as if they were robbed! If Seattle had won, Patriot backers would be crying about another fluke catch that robbed them of another Super Bowl win.

Russel wanted to be the hero when he should of thrown it away. It is the superbowl of course he is going to try to be the hero

They threw a td earlier in the game
...so are we suppose to run on that play too?

If it was thrown for a td no one would say nothing. Or if they ran it and fumbled the snap or handoff everyone would be saying why didn't you throw it once?

You dont run it there because it is fate and seattle weren't suppose to win according to fate. That's why. No other explanation is needed imo.
