I will try to keep this short and sweet. The Cards had the best record in the majors this year. The Cards won (going away) the division where the 3 best teams in the National league played. The Cards have outstanding speed, power, and defense. The Bosox have below average speed, outstanding power, and an average defense. As for the managing matchups I haven't watched enough of both managers to draw a fair conclusion but as you pointed out Larussa has more playoff experience. The Cards have a huge emotional edge as the Bosox are riding sky high after that comeback against their bitter rivals and are due for a huge letdown. The Bosoxs have the homefield edge but most experts would agree that homefield means less in baseball than any other sport. The Bosox also have had an extra day to celebrate, relax, and recover. The Bosox have a starting pitching edge but the Cards have the better pen. I think the series price should be flip flopped.
