Trying to take an interest in soccer (football). Watching Poland play the Saudis. Notwithstanding the overt corruption in the governing body, I cannot get past all the embellishment and faking injury. Grown men writhing on the pitch like a whinging child then shamelessly getting up and resuming play as if they are in fact not on the verge of death.
Why do the rules not penalize such gratuitous unsportsmanlike behaviour?
