I was reading that a lot of things that have been at world cups in the past are illegal there and that the bid was secured through corruption, we all know fifa is the most corrupt governing sports body in the world

Why would you have the World Cup in a country with severe a history of severe human rights abuse and limited freedoms?

I think you will see a lot of stories like this as the tournament progresses
Everything you stated is even more of a reason to ask why some of our athletes would push their luck in such a country while trying to push their agenda in the same country

It may very well end up being a HUGE mistake for some

The athletes will be fine….

but the World Cup isn’t the World Cup without the fans and fans do crazy shit and that’s part of what makes the World Cup so special an amazing

the choice of having it in such a restrictive place is just a poor one imo and takes away from the fan’s experience at an event that only happens every 4 years

Over 7000 ppl have died for this world cup but you can’t drink a beer in a stadium

what a fucking joke

and when you can find a beer if it cost you 15 bucks, there is a sin tax so it costs you 30 bucks

I hope some of our athletes get arrested if they don't obey the laws of the land there.
