I think the one match that Mexico has circled on their calendar right now is the game on June 9 vs. South Africa. Friendly's are all but meaningless to the players. I don't understand why people even look into them its ridiculous.this will be onto page 15 before the world cup begins....and although i'm contributing a bit to it...is the reason i don't get too pumped for this cup. Too many hockey fans all of the sudden ask me about soccer....not criticizing this forum or thread just a general observation around other forums and in my own real life....
i will say mexico drawing to iceland is rather meaningless since world class superstar (and Arsenal player) Vela wasn't there. But seriously neither was Blanco, Bravo etc etc etc....
Mexico has 8 friendlies before the WC..including England, Portugal, Italy, Netherlands... i don't think they cared very much about Iceland or DPR Korea. tell me how Mexico is doing after the italy match June 3rd.
And I hear you about people asking about the World Cup. People are constantly asking me about the world cup, and just soccer in general for that matter. All my friends know I am a die hard soccer fan and watch as many games as i can each weekend (usually 3-4). Personally the world cup is my favourite soccer tournament, edging out Champions league as #1.
I am going to start posting my soccer picks up here for the last month or so of the seasons and the world cup.
