Race 10: #1 Moonlight Fiddler
I have to go out on a limb this race. I think it is WIDE open here and chalk will be on a few that may not handle this class as well as bettors think (touch wood)
#9 Red Star Minckler has the ability to run with this pace and can surprise here - good value!
Obiwan Enfield #8 should be favoured but I feel he is overmatched - #2 Durin Hanover should be better suited.

NICE sds... help me ot a bit on your betting style. Im a bit confused by your write up on that race. You thought it was wide open, and you did not like chalk and yet you backed the heavy favorite?

I passed on the race. Wish I had played that one horse now..

sorry the 1 was not the heavy favorite at 8-5 but he was the favorite in a Wide open race and you still went for him. Great job but how do you convince yourself to make that play on the favorite in a race you know is wide open? I know we are up a ton tonight but wow! great insight.

trytry- I was writing when the board had no direction - I was just going on my instinct. There were several horses there that were legitimate contenders there- Durin/Obiwan/Benvolio and moonlight.

I stick to my "numbers" and THAT makes up my mind. If I read a horse based on "flow" I will not let the odds change my mind and will not "hunt" for "value" . I jjust have to feel that putting $100 on him instead of $50 makes sense.
