This opinions in this thread are EASILY verified simply by watching a few WNBA games.
I used to see a few Detroit Shock WNBA games 'waaay back, before they moved to Tulsa.
After you view a few "women's professional BB" games, one odd fact is clear: THERE IS
VIRTUALLY NO DIFFERENCE IN SKILL LEVELS between their college teams and their
pro teams.
In men's basketball, there is a VERY high skill level exhibited on almost all nationally-ranked
college teams, such as Villanova, Gonzaga, etc.
Yet, almost ANY NBA team would route the collegiate champions, probably embarrassing
them in a seven game series 4-0. Or maybe it would be 4-1. It wouldn't be close....
Maybe someday the women's game will improve at the higher levels. But it hasn't happened
so far, after 25 years of WNBA games.
