Any thoughts on Germany and China tonight? Big favourites but to big or? Germany has been impressive so far scoring lots of goals. They also enjoy beeing big favourites H2H with 8-2-0 in earlier meatings. Last match was in November 2002 and Germany won 4-0. The official site for the cup says that the East Europeans will be without one of their key attacking players Elena Fomina. Ideas?

in 2nd game i like China. i did not see anything from them so far and results on paper dont look that in impressive like they played in the past, but i saw canada twice in this tourney and i dont think they can win here.

For me, and not only because i'm from Germany, this is a complete open match. i dont see a reason why any team should be favoured here.
i think there is too much hype around the us-team, which is taking the line down.
i see 3.6 for Germany, which i'll take. But i'm still waiting for a asian line which gives me -1/2 or even -3/4 as i see a good chance for a draw here.
2nd game is easier.

The Swedes have been efficient and clinical when needed to be (the match against Brazil was easily their toughest match-up with a freaky wonder free-kick the difference between the two.).
Canada though not a rollover have only had the one meaninful match in beating an out-of-sorts China, 1-0.

I'm guessing the books thought there would be more people betting for the US (simply by virtue of population) in this coin-toss match-up and that caused the books to make the line for the US. Once the books realize more people are betting for Germany than they thought, they adjust the line from +0.5, +1 to +0.5. Just a guess on my part.

Germany is the best team here in WC, solid defense, great offense, a perfect group of girls, which were already fired up for this WC from the begiining.
Win over US will give them additional confidence and they already know, nobody from Europe besides Norway can beat them..but Norway is out and the blonde girls are coming up.
Sweden happy and satisfied to be in final will face it's first "real" strong opponent (china was not as good as in the past)
European order stands and will not be changed here.

Nothing to say here...complete missmatch+ USA should be extra motivated in front of home crowd after loss and girls will do everything to give Mia Hamm a medal in her last game.

USA 1.35 you can find at betandwin, most book have it at 1.30.
I did not check out to many. some have no lines out yet. but it's worth shopping around if you can, because as it was in the semi between GER-USA..i feel lines are influenced by location of book.
