Darryl I don't agree with your opinion but I respect it, I'm not going to make a big deal out of it. Everyone has it's way to see and live their lives, and if you are happy like that then go ahead. Let me tell you one thing, thanks for letting me see that part of the guys that I tought it didn't exist anymore. I tought that guys nowadays were looking for a partner instead of only a housewife, but now I see I'm wrong. Again, I'm not attacking you, just letting you know what I think.

If I call a girl she doesnt want me as much. If I ignore a girl, she wants me more. If I pay for her stuff, "I'm soft". If I get her to pay for everything "I'm bad". . .If I tell her she looks good, it pushes her away. If I say I like hair clips when she doesnt wear one, she has it on the next day. . . .at least this is how the 18-25 crowd is to me.

Monogamy, and marriage, is unnatural. IMO, people shouldn't get married until they're at least in their mid-30s and they've reached the 'loneliness' point of their lives and their oats have more or less been sown. Marriage should be for companionship, not ego-stroking or money. Of course, what do I know -- I've never been married.
xpanda I wouldn't put an age to marriage. I've seen couples getting married in their early twenties and they have a pretty good relation, and I've also seen couples that married on their mid or late 30's and didn't last at all.
My point of view is that you should marry whenever you (and your couple) are ready and commited and fully understand what you are going to go through. And as you say, marriage is companionship, commitment and lots of stuff, not as easy as it seems.
But again, I'm not married, so what the hell do I know, I'm just talking from a psychologist's point of view
