the rumors have nothing to do with the big 10 they have to do with andersen and urban being very good friendsExplain this then: why didn't mich state get told to lay down last yr in big 10 champ. Osu would have played fsu then. Some of these comments crack me up
No Way!! No conference would ever do that. There was no way they knew the committee would jump Ohio St multiple spots when earlier in the day the #3 team TCU was putting up 59 on Iowa St. Maybe it had more to do with Anderson already checking out to go to Oregon St but no way a conference would do that especially with an AD like Barry AlvarezI think Wisconsin was made to lay down against Ohio St. just so the wow factor would get a big 10 school in the playoff! I know it sounds crazy but there's a lot of financial gain by the big 10 due to the way that game played out. Just my opinion. If Wisconsin is really that bad this one may not be close either. Good luck.
teams that get beat badly ATS in conference title games come back with a vengeance in bowl games. came into play last night with Boise too
dogs of 2+ in bowl games that failed to cover their conference game by more than a TD are now 13-4 ATS
dogs of 6-13.5 that allowed 25+ in their conference title game are 10-1 ATS in the bowl game
dogs of 2.5 or more than scored under 30 points in their conf title game are 20-8 ATS in the bowl game
I'll put my two cents in here. Wisconsin is looking to redeem themselves after getting blownout by OSU while Auburn seems to be dealing with top WR suspended, teammate killed, defensive coach fired. Not sure they are focused to face a team that's last game was 59-0 loss but is certainly better than that and will get an opportunity to show it on national TV. I don't like the line being so high, puts a little doubt in me. With motivation such a big factor in these bowls especially after long layoff, Wisconsin seems to be the right side.
