Maybe because it wasn't a sure thing like knowing the 1st half was being fixed by the QB

My question is why wouldn't he have bet the 2H too (on Fla State's side)?
Mine would be: Why did he suck for the whole 1st half if it was just because of fixing the 1st half spread?
Line was LOU+1, he is the QB. So he can almost guarantee they don't score on offense. Once FSU was down 0-7, having the ball around midfield with 7:30 to go in the 1st half, that bet would already have been golden. He already would have been enough wiggle room for his RB break off a long TD run (or a defensive/special teams TD, if they have to punt) and just running down the playclock might get the game close to halftime.
At 0-14 even more so: About 5min to go, your bet can give 14pts and still win, you're the QB of the offense (so big plays are limited to your RB breaking through for a big run) and short to mid range completions would even take minutes off the clock...

If you look at it from that point of view, it just doesn't make sense because it
a) draws unnecessary attention
b) makes a 2nd h comeback that much harder if you're down by 14 or even 21 at ht instead of just 7
c) coming up short on the comeback eliminates you from the playoffs (and would probably hurt your draft stock if that could blamed largely on your performance)
c) bad play (on purpose) will show up on gametape and especially turnovers might significantly hurt your draft stock when you make the jump to the NFL, possibly costing you 6-7 figures, depending on how far down the draft boards you slide.

tmz getting involved today...naming names

https://www.tmz.com/2014/11/07/jameis-winston-allegations-point-shaving-louisville-chris-rabb/

New reports have surfaced alleging Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston was involved in a point shaving scheme to help an old high school teammate win a $5,000 bet.

According to the report, Winston tanked the 1st half of the FSU vs. Louisville game on October 30th ... after his buddy Chris Rabb allegedly placed a bet for Louisville to be winning at halftime.

Winston's play in the 1st half was atrocious ... and FSU was down 21-7.

FSU eventually came back and won the game -- but according to the report, the final score had no bearing on Rabb's bet.

FYI -- point shaving is illegal and punishable by up to 5 years in prison.

So far, it's unclear if law enforcement is investigating -- but we're working to find out if that's the case.

http://www.foxsports.com/college-fo...oints-in-first-half-of-louisville-game-110614

"Bookie meets with Chris Rabb morning before Louisville / Fla St game and receives $5,500 from Mr Rabb with instructions to bet Louisville +1 (1st Half) -110 to win back $5,000. Bet was placed and Louisville won 1st Half vs Fla St (21-7). Mr Rabb is now suppose to receive $5,000 for winning bet + his $5,500 initial bet (square up day is Tuesday)

Bookie gets information late Sunday night that he's been "Played for a fool" as Mr Rabb and Jameis Winston are former teammates and conspired together on the above mentioned first half wager. Bookie wants no part of paying the debt. (i think he should pay he took the bet he knows the risk... just my opinion)
Bookie is claiming he has betting screenshots of the bet and proof it's Mr Rabb's account (look below for all bets placed last week)
Now does this mean we have a scandal on our hands? Does this mean Jameis Winston is gambling (crazier things have happened)?
This certainly all could be a coincidence that a former HS teammate and close family friend (Chris Rabb) made his biggest bet ever ($5,500) on game where his friend (Jameis) had probably his worst half ever in college... it's all just a coincidence right?"
...
*Update* As of 9:45 AM est.. IBN attempted to reach out to Chris Rabb via phone and someone did answer the cell phone, we asked if he had any comment on "alleged" gambling rumors that involved him and his former high school teammate Jameis Winston, his answer was brief "Fuck boy how did you get my number?.. mind your business boy" that's when the phone hung up."

LOL, look, it's open season on this kid, shit any grocer in the Jacksonville area that needs money can claim he came in and lifted some food and probably get a small settlement. I can't believe at this point that his family, and surely he's got a mother around, probably doesn't know his father, lol, but someone should have retained a handler by now. I mean, this shit is out of control, what NFL team in their right mind with all the new "conduct" rules is gonna want to fool with this??? I see Heisman to Homeless in the kid's future.

The fact that Incarcerated Bob is evidently the source is all you need to know.

This guy just makes up shit every once in awhile to gain exposure/twitter followers. He's a complete hack. He does this exact same story twice a year and just inserts a new athletes name every time.

Winston Atty asking for FSU Code of Conduct hearing to be delayed. It was scheduled to be heard week of Nov 17th. This guys is just your basic Southern dummy. He might even be mentally retarded. What's sad, is he's killing his potential for making money through endorsements once he gets to the NFL and causing a lot of GM's to scratch their head.

I could be wrong, but it seems odd that the screenshot has the $5,500 on it. If he had a limit of $400 max on the account, how would he be able to put that in? When I want to go a game over the max, I have text my bookie for confirmation, and it doesn't show on the online account. Make sense? It's hard to explain...

It's $400 over the phone or on line but anything more and the cash has to be paid up front which is what he did.

I was at the FSU v Syracuse game and we kept saying that he should be killing these guys and yet he kept it within the number. In fact FSU has not covered on the road all year except for Louisville and we now know why.... because he shaved the first half for his buddy.

SCUM BAG DOUCHE BAG ....

The NCAA doesn't need him. Send him packing.
