I can guarantee you aren't that great of a player after making this comment.

Ok man... That is actually a style written Dan Harrington's book that I read... I am actually a decent to good player I just go on tilt... The higher the level the better the tight system works... Read the book... Thanks

Wow pretty close.. They did an awesome job trying though.

At one point he had 30 cashes and 25 noncashes. He faultered a bit down the stretch. He won like $1200 so he did not feel bad giving me my $100.

Harrington doesn't know shit then. I don't know anyone that has a higher ROI in bigger buy-in tourneys. It just doesn't happen that way. At the higher stakes everyone is tighter to so your edge is a lot smaller. At the 15+2 turbos at pokerstars i've got like a 20% ROI against a bunch of schmucks that don't know what they're doing. At the 55+5 it drops all the way down to 5%. If your ROI is lower against bad players that means you aren't that great.

It is annoying when some donk calls your all-in with AT and busts your QQ, but those are money situations that benefit you longrun. Weaker players go on tilt because of this and claim they'd do better at higher limits.

No he doesn't know anything... He has higher ROI in tournaments with more advanced players... a slow down style doesn't work at low limits... because your slow down style and playing elite hands doesn't work as well because you get your elite hands cracked a lot more at low level tables because of the lack of folding no matter how much you raise....

It is a good thing at times but if you are overly aggressive with power hands, which most people are, then you are limiting the hands you play and maximizing your chips causing you to get hurt by big hands that don't cash... pushing you to tilt...

Why didn't you play in theRX poker tournaments we held... I came in second in the point system... I wish you would have played expert...

I'd like to see some hard evidence because it is most likely bullshit.

I'll post this over at the 2+2 forums and I guarantee you that at least 95% of the people there will disagree with everything you said.

That said, manej, you are way, WAY off here. And yes, I know what I'm talking about.

I read the first 10 or so responses and it seems like everyone is either a winner or considers themselves above the competition. Who is the competition then? :)

Well the thread is a question for winning poker players so this should not surprise you.

...I am not a winner, but my Mommy still loves me.

Once you have mastered the math and strategy of whatever poker game your learning, table selection is the #1 factor in winning and losing. The limits you are comfortable playing are just as important as the competition. Good Luck

Most are B and everyone starts as B since you can't know the game in and out without some experience. People will progress at different speeds so someone may quickly become an A while others will never progress beyond B. The lower the level you play the more B is responsible.

Poker is easy.
