Remember those quotes? 1.5M infected and 90k deaths later, you think we're in better shape than when those quotes were made by your Orange Loon? All it takes is one lapse in policy to return to 35k infections/3k deaths per day and hospitals overflowing with COVID-19 patients again. And reopening too soon before we are ready may be the one.
What economy do you think we're gonna return to with a deadly pandemic hanging over us? It will never return to normal until it's under control and no longer a pandemic. Even Sweden tried what you guys swore would work, no lock-downs and not only did they have 10x the infections and deaths as their Nordic neighbors but their economy is in a Recession and in even worse shape.
Let's face it, only reason you guys want to re-open is cause the only chance Orange Loon has to win re-election is a strong economy since he has nothing else to crow about. Unfortunately for you, he blew his only chance back in January when he called it a Hoax and spent 2 months attending Nazi rallies and golfing vacations instead of taking the Pandemic seriously and testing/quarantining like South Korea did. It's over for your Orange Loon.... so the only decent thing you guys could do is save as many lives as possible, even the old folks your side hates with a passion by closing down until it's safe to re-open.
