3 months later. Tampa's schedule is not as tough as the preseason #4 ranking might suggest. The NFC is not overly dynamic. N.O., who has their number, did not play well in the last preseason and at Seattle. They get an Atlanta without Vick. Tampa is also matching everyone else's "UP" with their own mantra of "US". The last time I heard that was in Baltimore. The dynamic teams they play, Indi and SF, are not so tough yet and they get the whole season to prepare for Atlanta, Tennesee finale.

Tampa's weaknesses: As a Viking fan I know Brad can be had with pressure. You have to blitz and get to him. The running game will be a factor. They must continue to get better or it will cost them a couple of games. Lastly, if everyone knows you have to slash Tampa up the middle and pound the run, even if you only get a yard, why did Philadelphia flake out so bad?

And the hits just keep on coming. (DT Paul Grasmanis tore his achilles tendon). The Eagles defense is decimated right now.

I think the Eagles are the worst of the 4 teams left. I guess we will find out this weekend.

But then again, looking my post from September, I thought the Gianst were going to be good.....

The Eagles are the worst of the 4 teams left....but they beat Carolina at Carolina by 9 points.

I guess winning straight up on the opponent's home field isn't good enough.

Not trying to attack you Kman...I just can't adhere to that statement.

Sportsbet - If you look at the game Carolina missed 3 FG's and an extra point. Kasay had the worst game of his life.

Carolina runs for more yards, passed for more yards, had more first downs, averaged 4.7 YPC rushing. They missed on a 4th and 1 at the Eagles 8 yard line, and fumbled on there own 11 which lead to one of Philadelphia's TD's. They also had twice as many penalties than the Eagles.

Everything went wrong for Carolina on that day. It may happen again, but I don't think so.

Philadelphia gave up 331 YPG this year which ranked 20th, and that's in a division with anemic offenses like Dallas, Washinton, and the NY Giants.

These are some of the reasons I think Philadelphia is overrated.

K I know about the numbers. Eagles live and die by intangibles that's nothing new. I think with Vincent back (pending how effective he can be) the blitz package will be expanded and they will be able to get to Jake more than they could in the first game. Davis is a question mark and I feared Ahman Green more than I fear the Panthers running game. If I remember correctly the Birds turned the ball over almost immediately in the beginning of that game but the defense played big as always. The secondary hasn't been this healthy all year. This is a bend don't break defense which means the yards will look bad but the scoring D is the key for me. I also don't think John Fox can outcoach Andy Reid.

We'll see....I have Green Colored Glasses on so I'm obviously going to pull every little iota of positive info I can for the Birds.

Sportsbet - I hear ya, and you are right about the Eagles defense. If they get Carolina in 3rd and long situations the Blitz may give Jake fits.

I guess that's what it comes down to; can the Panthers stay out of 3rd and long or can Philly force the 3rd and longs.

Well, see on Sunday. I still like Carolina, but good luck to you and your Eagles.

Eagles have very solid shot of winning.
If Pats win, that is the better matchup for them. Whatever theories you have, throw them out the window. All that crap means nothing.

K-man, are you not alittle late saying Philly is the worse of the bunch.

Before the playoffs started a BLIND man could see (nfc only talking) of the 8 teams that they are or were FAKE.Carolina may still hold the colors up and be dead in Philly and prove they were fake. But over-all Philly was the best of the FAKERS.
Rams?
Green Bay?
Seattle?
Dallas?

I am sure glad the year is over. All the playoff teams were boring and the weakest in years.

Seattle could have made the playoff picture different if they moved on after the win in GBay.
But it did not happen.

Atlanta vs. Pittsburgh or Atlanta vs. Jacksonville in next years super bowl.

Captain #5 - You are right, the NFC is very week this year. No matter who wins the AFC beats the NFC by 2 TD's in the Superbowl.
