If found guilt and 6 counts have already been determined, then he should be punished to the full extent of the law.

Jurors are just so dumb and full of sympathy (none of it for the victim though) - weapons experts went over the gun 100 times and said it was functioning properly - he says it malfunctioned and accidently went off - probability of this is like 100 million to 1 - OK, I'll assume it went off accidently, HOW DID THE BULLET HIT THIS MAN? IT DOES NOT TAKE MANY FUNCTIONING NEURONS TO FIGURE OUT THAT THE GUN WAS POINTED AT HIM!!!!! 55 YEARS AND NOTHING LESS - and the family sues the shit out of him and takes his house and leaves that whore wife back in the ghetto she and her murdering husband came from!

When i heard about the Dog, that was enough for me. I would have sentenced him the 55 for that. He deserves everything he gets and then some. I hope it will not be the case of another pampered athlete getting off. Till later Buddym

Williams has already settled with the man's family. Believe it was for 2.5 million. They can make no further civil claim against him in this matter. (BTW, it was a shotgun)

Former NBA player Jayson Williams has been charged with driving while intoxicated by New York City Police. Williams crashed his Mercedes SUV into a tree early Tuesday at about 3:15 in the morning in the Manhattan area and was transported to Bellevue Hospital. Williams suffered cuts to his face and a small fracture to a bone in his neck according to the AP. Williams refused to submit to a breathalyzer test, but police obtained a warrant to test his blood while he was hospitalized and he was subsequently charged with DWI.
Williams is still under trial for reckless manslaughter stemming from the 2002 shooting death his driver at Williams’ home. Williams was said to be drinking that evening. But as of mid-November 2009, a hearing where Williams was expected to make a plea had been delayed.
In August a suicidal Williams was reportedly shocked with a stun gun by police in Manhattan after he refused to be transported to a hospital. Williams wife Tonya filed for divorce in February of 2009.

Wow. This guy has not even copped a plea yet? Amazing. If I were a cynic, I would say the justice system is only for poor folk. Rich guys can do whatever they want. But that surely can't be the case here. I must be missing something.
