russian roulette is a virus that's entirely worse than corona...... If you wanna talk suicidal, like ebola where the death rate is 50%

rus·sian rou·lette

/ˈˌrəshən ro͞oˈlet/

noun

the practice of loading a bullet into one chamber of a revolver, spinning the cylinder, and then pulling the trigger while pointing the gun at one's own head.

an activity that is potentially very dangerous.
"we can't afford to play russian roulette with our existing antibiotics"

Most restaurants can't afford to shutdown for a month plus.. margin profits aren't big enough... not their fault that they were put in this position.. the fault was the media creating hysteria to shut down everything thing to begin with.. political leaders got scared and implemented unnecessary restrictions. fucking dumb

depends on the experts.. I'm into common sense.. that's a lost art these days

"Each country has to make a decision on how their economy is impacted and also what the value of that is in contrast to the expected loss of life. opinions will differ there. I am in the camp that the when breaking down society and the economy to their core fundamentals, the goal is to allow the society to flourish. If we abandon those principles and make it a every man for themselves and roll the dice on who lives and sacrifice our vulnerable then might as well just have everyone live for themselves. Advanced societies place alot of value on human life and this would be a litmus test for our society if we are at a point were we can protect our vulnerable then in my mind we are advanced. Not doing so would be going backwards in the grand sheme of things."

Most of these assets won't cease to exist. They'll merely change hands.

People who spent a lifetime building successful businesses, shouldn't be permanently out of business after 4-6 weeks of being shutdown.

Too many people like yourself normally champion free market capitalism. Now many of them are crying about businesses struggling.

Without the bailouts, we'd really see how capitalism works, which would have corrected the misapplied capital much quicker than what's happening.

To hell with all of these privatized gains and socialized losses.

Obviously you have never owned/run your own business. Margins are small you do not sock away all kinds of money like big corporations do

Totally ignorant to think small businesses should just have lots of money sitting around. Small businesses use that money to run idiot...

Ignorant people fucking A

Maybe the C- type of people can understand a simple Russian roulette analogy...this virus could be equated to a gun that has 100 chambers (probably alot more than 100 chambers but let's keep it simple) if you are over 70 and unhealthy then you get 15 bullets put in the chambers to play Russian roulette with..as you go down in age and determine health then the total bullets put in the chambers would gradually be less...myself I would probably have 3 bullets in the 100 chambers...I will take those odds over the odds of staying at home indefinately until some magic day comes where it is deemed safe to live my life again..the word safe is misleading at this unforeseen magical date anyhow,,because the gun always has bullets in the chamber on a daily basis for other reasons beyond anyone's control.

Good analogy, gamblingshark1!

I'm in the higher risk group, so feel like i need to be more cautious.

Stay safe, live long!
