Why watch NFL-Playoffs when we know the winners in advance?

Wow, really? If anything what I saw was the game 'fixed' to keep the Cardinals in the game. They were completely outplayed, in every phase of the game, they didn't get 100 yards from scrimmage. How can you fix that? Carolina D played a perfect game, would have shut their asses out if not for gifting them the field position. If you think this one was "FIXED" for Carolina you may need to pick a new sport man. Awful, awful post

If it was so one-sided, how about these parts of the game:

-That was not roughing the passer
-Allowing Arizona to sub when Carolina was in hurry up

-Called back illegal contact stating it was after the pass was thrown, when it was clearly not
-No call on the hold in the back of their own end zone

Sports fans have had the desire to 'kill the umpire" ever-since competitive athletics hired the first referee or umpire to call the game.
I've seen my share of controversial calls in sports (all-levels) made by the officials during the past 70 years with more to come in the
future. What lends to the controversy is the huge amounts of money involved now days (wagering and team revenue/income) hinging
on the outcome of the game; We as bettors can attest to that. Its hard for NFL and College referees to make obvious (bad-calls) and
get away with-it now days with all the cameras focused on each and every play. The one monitor that makes me chuckle is the sound
detector; They can tell when a referee passes gas (farts) on the field. The players can tell who they are as well and who is "stinking-up" the field. The problem for the players is the "gag" this is placed on them.....bitch and out-you-go.

Dude if you don't like the post then why bother reading it. And fyi, I'm not financially involved in the game. Just a fan who is sickened by a league that constantly fixes games because they feel that certain future matchups will provide them with more financial reward.

I'm not sure there are any better ways to make money than knowing of pro sporting events that are fixed ahead of time.

I will say that the Steelers/Ravens game was definitely played more physical and the refs let more go in the secondary. With the new rules it is very hard to say let them play. How often do we see a Quarterback throw the deep ball with 2 guys on their WR with the real hope being to draw a flag? somewhat fixed in the NBA? ok.. maybe I would listen a little to that argument.. but the NFL is so tough to say anything like that.. The NFL really wants Carolina to win? they will be nothing more than a sacrificial lamb to either Seattle or Green Bay next week, so I can't imagine them making money off them.

I lost on the cards too, and feel horrible for that defense.. They kept them in there as long as they could, just like against Seattle a few weeks ago. With Palmer and Ellington, this team had at least a shot to go into Seattle and give them a tough game.

If this was the NBA forum, I could not blame skepticism. Donaghy, that crazy Lakers/Kings 2002 Game 6 ...

Funny non-call on the most obvious pass interference I ever saw. And you guys still think these games are not fixed?
