Nah you're right. Mostly #2 is the truth imo. Because he said he wouldn't kneel anymore when you know how bad he wants to. So I don't know what baggage he would be bringing. If he isn't focused on the game that's one thing. Like if this was a distraction for him. But honestly I think it made him play better. But when Tyrod Taylor gets hurt week 6 and they're 3-3, Kaepernick will be signed.

He probably prepared himself better last year with film and so on because of the attention he was getting. My guess is his preparation was at an all time high. While we all think and the media thinks he isn't focused. And the GMs come out and say he isn't focused on football. Too much baggage.
