Danny glad to see you back here at the Rx. Actually I am retired, and have been married to a lovely Costa Rican girl for over 4 years. She is a bit young for an old timer like me, but we have a great life together. I don't have to work, and choose not to. I live in Costa Rica, speak Spanish, have my own home, and am hopefully very much loved, if not by my wife, then at least by my dog Zucca. Good luck this football season. Pura Vida.

Hell, Wil, does this mean you can't vote in the US?

This question is not meant to be in a negative way at all. Most Costa Ricans are very religious and believe in a higher being. I don't think they would welcome or marry a person who doesn't believe in a higher power. Does your wife know you are an atheist?

If she does, is she ok with it? I am guessing if she says yes she is either in the 1% who believe in your way of thinking in CR or she is not with for love.

DannyMay, that was a cheap shot.

Wil's great. .Nice guy with good opinions and info, and hes got some backbone. theres a lot of good that could be said about wil, he does great as a moderator. MR.NJ, I would think he does in fact 'arbitrate' in the sense that he moves threads to the right section or interjects with appropriate remarks when need be. He's also conversational enough, that you even forget he is a mod (in fact they all have this qaulity)

Wil does everything just fine, question the use of the word 'moderator' for the position, not the position holder.

TT - I am not an athiest, just agnostic. I went to parochial school for 12 years, graduated from St. Mary's High School in my home state of Mass. My wife doesn't speak English and while I speak Spanish it is not strong enough to argue religious beliefs with her. She is however a very devout catholic and attends church every week etc. Now that my life story is on-line hopefully this thread will fade away.

Thanks, wil.

Wil,

Since you are agnostic, does that mean you don't believe in the tooth fairy, Santa Claus, the easter bunny, or the porno pixie?

TT,

I tried to complain to God yesterday about everything that ails my pitiful little life and you know what he told me? "Shut the fvck up, I have 8 million other planets to worry about."

I thought wil was a good poster, one of my faves. But as a mod, they pretty much all are the same around here. They are way too omnipresent and overbearing, imo. Main forum has all the spontanaiety of 3 week old mashed potatoes.

To have the big picture this is pretty much the case everywhere I have visited............

You can have religious freedom as long as you have one religion.....otherwise you are deemed very dangerous to society

I supose in Eastern Europe because of their political past being an atheist/agnostic wouldn´t be frowned upon as they got heavy brain washing from the political structure but most countries/cultures in the world don´t welcome someone that denies one of the very foundations of their lives/morals
