Casting ballots by mail, very little documentation of exactly who is voting and are they eligible, is a democrat/socialist cream. Ask yourself WHY this particular virus was blown up to be the end of the world in an election year after 3 1/2 years of attempting a coup including up until the failed impeachment. For what reason does he need to blame anyone? If this thing ends up being no more deaths than the common flu (especially with social distancing baked into the model and they still can't get it right), he can just sit back if he wants. The American people can look at who the first ones were to implement Martial Law and they'll know who to blame.
Whether or not he can help himself or not, my comment stands. He doesn't need to do anything. If I'm living in a place like Kentucky and have a mayor taking down license plates and fining people $500 to go to drive in churches, I'm not too concerned about the President. Plenty of other places across the country with ridiculous overreaches like this. Independents in particular will be looking at this and who the group was that couldn't wait to take away their freedom.
We had some nuts here on the community app (nextdoor) that were telling people they "had" to stay indoors. I corrected it (walks, biking, and other forms of exercise at a safe distance are considered essential). I had a laugh at how many daggers came out. But the majority seemed to be cheering me when all was said and done and calling out these fucking nazis.
