the attention span to watch a baseball is too long... nobody in america (well maybe nobody) WANTS to do that on the TV. What fun is it? It's like watching basketball and having a 30 second timeout after every shot... would that be fun?

FUCK NO

So your a fan of the 40 second play clock. Oh snap the ball and oops running play that lasts 7 seconds, oh lets take 35 seconds off the clock before we snap the ball again, and oops i forgot before that espn is obligated to cut to a mandatory tv timeout, there is maybe a total of 10 minutes of actual gameplay that goes on. Pathetic if you ask me, it's become to commercialized, and oh yeah don't forget we've got to get a sideline report.

EA >:d gimme gimme. She looks like she's gettin older though.

5-0: But that's part strategy... *AND* take in consideration that there are substitutions going on where it'll take 10 seconds just to get in and out... and another 5-6 seconds of "setting" the other 15-20 seconds is used to survey the field... call audibles... do a hardcount for possible penalty

What's your rebuttle now?

I agree basketball has gotten really unwatchable with the mandatory tv timeouts and the 10 timeouts each team gets per half

I don't even watch baseball anymore. If it's the World Series and there's nothing else on, maybe. This conversation is a little strange.

After watching Alabama beat Georgia or Oregon St. beat USC, how can anyone sit there and watch a baseball game?

thats part of it....baseball hasn't "evolved" it tries to cater to the purists and they JUST NOW implemented instant replay lol

baseball is the was football is now

not crticizing anyone who watches baseball or the sport itself

but america just doesn't care as much as it does for football

yeah u can go to new york or boston and show me those markets but cmon

baseball playoffs last year on average had maybe 5-10 mil viewers

sunday night football got 15 million
