Ayuh...never gets old reading or hearing the homophobic views of this or that curmudgeon who honestly thinks that no one in his own family tree is homoseuxal.

What does the initial post in this thread by 4 decorated and honored
military veterans have to do with people thinking people in their
family tree aren't homosexual?

It's certainly clear that some people feel very threatened by the existence of homosexuals and work hard to marginalize them in any way possible.

Meanwhile, the tens of millions of gay North Americans (among others) rock along, singing a song and doing their best to get through life despite the obstacles thrown in their way by those who are scared silly.

Ayuh... then there was the gay guy that lived with me for a couple weeks in my one bedroom apartment because he was homeless. The one that was interested in leaving the gay lifestyle. He now is hetero married with 3 kids.

How does that fit into your little rhetoric?

[ Oh yeah, *I* must be gay, right? ]

Sorta overwhelmed me with all that shit. Question is do you or do you not believe that homosexuality is natural occurring.

He was either not homosexual, or he's homosexual and choosing to live in the guise of a hetero.

Homosexual men and women for centuries have adopted all manner of societal disguises in order to divert undeserved persecution from their fellow member in the overall community.

Yawn...

Or these 4 highly decorated and experienced military leaders know
more about running the military than everyone in this forum
combined.

What is their stance on drug users and highschool dropouts in the military?

Whatever it is, I can assure you it isn't the current president that let them join in such large numbers

If being gay is a choice, than gay people must be allowed in the military. For example, I have seen countless soldiers say something to the effect of "No way can I run two miles in less than 16 minutes" or "I can't hit the targets with my rifle." But we don't hold that against them until they actually prove it. Yet as soon as someone says "I'm gay" the command can begin an investigation and kick them out simply for making those statements (not sure if it really happens like that, but that's what the regulations say)

As I wrote above, if a former drug user can pass a drug test they are allowed in. If a gay guy can pass a gay test showing they haven't had gay sex in the past month they, too, should be let in. At least according to everyone who considers gay a choice (and gay sex most certainly is a choice)

You make some valid points here.

The whole argument is ridiculous.

Gays are in the military, have always been in the military, and will always be in the military. End of story.

I just wanted to post that last night when I was DJing in the club a person came up to request a song. Now this is not unusual as it happens 200 times a night. But this one was wearing both a dress, and a beard! When it danced away I still couldn't tell what it was.

Now I have no problem with this person based on how he or she was born or his/her lifestyle. My problem was his/her breath smelled like she had just devoured an entire ass!
