Marxism has always been a race to the bottom. It's never about lifting up the nonachievers it's punishing the achievers. That's why high schools are ending AP programs because they know blacks (and most whites) can't qualify so they were dominated by Asian and Indian students. and they can never tell you that reasoning straight out, instead they have to mask it under an oppression blanket. They say AP classes pull the best teachers out of "normal classes" and divert necessary resources to the privileged (aka more intelligent) few. So by stunting the growth and projection of the best students they come away thinking they're better people because, well, Liberal ideas never need to make sense
sad to see this policy gaining steam and now talking over in freaking middle schools. holding back the ability of the high achiever will never help out the low achievers...

school district removes advanced math classes from middle school for being too White and Asian

Massachusetts school districts reportedly cut out algebra from middle school, and after hearing the reasons, parents were left angered. The Boston Globe reported that advanced math students were primarily White and Asian, while lower-level courses mostly had Black and Hispanic students. Cambridge Public Schools noticed this trend before, but things only worsened due to the pandemic. This led to all four middle schools in the district axing Algebra.

Schools Superintendent Victoria Greer told the Globe, “We have a huge focus on addressing both the academic achievement gaps and the opportunity gaps in our community.” Greer continued, “One thing the district is not interested in doing is perpetuating those gaps.”

One Black parent said this was “insulting,” adding, “The reason minority kids do worse than whites is because of a school culture that ostracizes and bullies minority kids when they do excel. That’s why you need the advanced courses, to keep that culture from creeping in and shutting them down.”
