their breath sure as hell can stink.. but I think in most dog food is certain ingredients not to mention the grain helps to clean their teeth so its basically like they are brushing every day better than we could.

I know lots of dogs that make a living off of table scraps/human food.

If someone here were smart enough they would get dog teeth implanted to replace the human ones that suck

Who the hell told you that dogs don't get cavities? They do, but because of their diet it is rarer than in humans.

FWIW, I had no idea dogs got gum disease and cavities. I assumed they did but I assumed it was as rare as getting cancer or something....rare for young, somewhat more common in older ones.

why don't we have more doggie dentists?

Gum disease is very common in dogs. Most people don't know and/or care to treat it.

"doggie dentists" are the vet techs at the vet. They take special traing and get certified to do it. Any half decent vet will offer a teeth cleaning at most visits BUT people usually don't take their dog to they vet nearly as often as recommended. And when the vet does offer it most people don't want to pay for it.

Dogs do get cavities and have teeth/lose teeth pulled more often than you think.

That is really sad to me. I don't have a dog but I know how fucking sore my tooth can get...I hate to think a dog feels that kind of pain when he/she eats and doesn't even know why or what to do.....

Dog don't show pain like humans so most people don't realize until the dog stops eating normally. They could have a broke bone and you wouldnt know except for the limp.
